one of the oldest restaurant of ahmedabad. this restaurant is ahmedabad's heritage. this restaurant has to be in a must visit place for every traveller visiting ahmedabad. the restaurant is amazing and is a great place for all age groups. lot of things for the children to roam around and play around. also there is a utensil museum, whic is one of a kind with largest collection of precious utensils. restaurant offers seating spaces on the floor as well as on tables. puppet show, traditional music are other attractions of the restaurant. ample amount of space for parking your vehicles. highly recommended!

always been the fav place for everyone in the family and the place into its 39th year is no doubt legendary! yesterday's visit was like after years and the experience only has got better. amazing food amazing atmosphere

it is amazing ambience as well as great interior.
as it is a restaurant but this much authentic place with amazing food

zomato has rated vishalla 4.2. according to me it is quite underrated.

we had gone to this place in feb. right from the entrance it was perfect.
buying a dinner token took a couple of minutes. we were escorted to a live performance venue. there was singing, dancing on folk songs. we had 15 mins of wait time. we were served jaljeera and buttermilk.
very promptly we were alloted a nice place before our expected time.
food : there were atleast 10 diff types of salads, raitas and chutneys.
main course : 5 types of subjis
farsans
dal
four types rotis
three types of rices
and last but not the least, there were 4 types of deserts to die for.
jalebi, rabdi, moong daal halwa, kulfi.

i can visit this place again n again n again 😊😊

we went to vishalla for having some light snacks as we didn't have sufficient time for eating thali. what i admired about this place was the ambiance. it gives you a feel that you are in a gujarati village. we saw the utensil museum, took pictures of birds and sat to eat jalebis. hot, syrupy jalebis. i nearly burned my mouth...we had some hot pakoras with pudina chutney and tamarind chutney. well, we had a great time together.

1. really expensive with very less quantity (i'm judging based on the snacks i had)

try the place just for its ambience and you will feel it’s worth!! food amazing and service even better!! you would be spoilt for options and that’s a wonderful feeling!!! it even shows the history of special people who have visited this place

i find this place very over rated - the experience is fine and all but when it comes down to food, the selection and taste is more reminiscent of an ordinary gujarati dhaba. i also believe that its better to have fewer but very well executed dishes rather then a very large thali

been here with full family all of us enjoyed well here

food is good as well and we young people found it good and authentic

however my parents said "its nothing special and charging too much"

but you can have this experience once in your life.

pure and authentic gujarati food’s search has only one destination is vishala. amazing village theme ambiance. snacks were hygienic and delicious. must try jalebi and sukhadi. they always make everything fresh with extra love. the only thing i would like to suggest that please keep at least one person as an attender. everything was up to mark. costly but worth it. tea is heaven for chai lovers.

best ambiance of village theme restaurant enjoy your food in pie and authentic village style. it serves best gujarati cuisine with best service. there are a lot of activities to enjoy at vishal’s so take minimum 2 to 3 hours time to enjoy the facility of vishala.

talking about the ambience they have the best ambience, but the best time to visit this place is at night for dinner. this is the perfect place for lunch and dinner with your family and friends with some authentic gujarati food

the entry is just amazing and then there is a puppet show, traditional rajasthani folk dance along with the mocktails. they have the julas and there is a museum as well which has all the traditional things stored

then for dinning it has lower seating with leaf dish and bowl and they serve delicious authentic food and the menu is changed every day

the dinner or lunch is then ended with sweet tooth where they have ice cream and many more things

we went to vishalla after a bit of research as to where exactly we get authentic gujarati food. what struck me was that it had typical rustic charm much like that of chokidhani near jaipur.
we were amazed and awed by the experience as we were ushered in. one objection i have is that they do not provide choice to the customers as the only option available for sitting inside was thali and not other items given on the menu.
so we did opt for thalis. inside, many local art and culture were on display including the rajasthani folk dance - kalbelia. they’ve done well to maintain the rustic settings. once we sat down, it was overwhelming range of dishes which included the typical gujarati thepla, bhakri, rotla as well as dhokla along with a range of subzis. it was a sumptuous meal overall which was supplemented by generous and never-ending helpings. so much so that extra hours of workout will now be needed to undo the damage!
it is a recommend if you are in ahmedabad.

nice theme. courteous staff. value for money. kids friendly. tasty food. had a pleasant visit. went for lunch so had a tummy full platter. recommended for all age group

visited this place with friends and business clients multiple times. they must change or upgrade now here in show happening. it's always same. no uniqueness .
