vikendi gelato kitchen

this newly opened place is a nice gelato kitchen/cafe opp of avis hospitals at just 2 kms from the jubilee check post .
it has a vast menu to order from offering non veg and veg dishes like pizzas,salads,fried cottage cheese tacos,honey potato wedges variety of mocktails and hot beverages to choose from .the hot chocolate was to die for and i really enjoyed having it in the cold weather in their stunning ambience especially the open terrace garden .
the mock tails were also too good especially the orange peels and slices added to my drink made it all d more special!!
the pasta we ordered was fusilli and it was very cheesy wid the perfect blend of white sauce.the honey wedge potatoes were so good that we had ordered it the second time too.among the desserts the chocolate walnut brownie ,and hazelnut brownies were soft gooey and with the apt sweetness.
last but not the least they had a variety of gelatos to choose from ranging from ferrero rocher,blackcurrant,rose petals,french vanilla,butterscotch,very berry,almond delight,cookie almond,rum & raisins and the list goes on.
trust me u will enjoy each and every flavour in this beautiful lounge cafe which has huge seating capacity both inside and outside.
there are a number of cafés which don’t do justice to the food they serve but this one definately creates a niche for itself and is worth trying once with your family or your gang!!

‘vikendi - gelato kitchen’ is a vibrant cafe with chick decor setting that provides an upscale dining experience amidst lush green open rooftops and cozy corners in a minimalistic setting. some amazing quirky drinks, delectable food and fast service is the the best part of this restaurant.

we were invited for a blogger’s table and the review for the session is as follows.

mocktails, milkshakes & frappe:

the mocktails were refreshing and perfectly balanced. the ‘watermelon sensation’ had freshly cut watermelon cubes in a freshly brewed juice with a hint of lime and mint. the ‘green slush’ was an interesting spicy twist on the mundane green apple mojito. the ‘virgin colada’ was a perfectly balanced drink with unsweetened coconut milk, pineapple juice and sugar. the ‘seasonal punch’ had a mix of orange, passion fruit and pineapple for a perfect refreshing tropical drink. the ‘banana milkshake’ had basic ingredients and
the ‘brownie frappe’ and ‘oreo frappe’ was rich and creamy.

salads:

the ‘watermelon feta salad’ had sweetness from the cubes of watermelon balanced by the sourness of feta and balsamic reduction and the freshness of rockets and micro-greens. the ‘ceaser chicken salad’ had romaine lettuce, shredded parmesan cheese, crispy croutons, shredded chicken with minced garlic, lime, olive oil and djon mustard dressing.

appetisers:

the crispy crunchy ‘fried chicken popcorn’ served with spicy mayo is a perfect appetiser. the ‘aachari chilli poppers’ were crunchy on the top, extremely cheese and tangy inside, went well with the salad dressing served alongside. the ‘ginger sesame chicken’ had teriyaki chicken served on a skewer with sesame seeds sprinkled all over, served with a fresh salad and honey chilli sauce on the side.

main course:

the ‘chicken cock o doodle’ pizza had bbq cured chicken and smoked paprika layered on a thin freshly baked pizza dough. the ‘veg burger’ had a crispy fried mixed vegetable patties layered with fresh lettuces, onions, tomatoes and pickles in a freshly baked hot bun. the ‘chicken burger’ had smoked chicken tossed in a sweet and tangy chilli sauce layered with fresh veggies and hot buns. both ‘penne pasta veg with pesto sauce’ was incredibly tasty and a must order. the ‘fusilini with chicken and red sauce’ was served piping hot.

desserts:

both ‘almond brownie’ and ‘mocha brownie’ were fresh baked, rich in chocolate and cocoa and sinfully delicious that is too hard to ressist. the ‘berry panacotta’ was a delicious italian dessert, flavoured with almond extract and served with a luscious blueberry sauce.

gelatos:

they serve a wide range of frozen artisan gelatos that are lipsmaking. apart from traditional flavours like vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut, pistachio etc, they also serve a plethora of international flavours like french vanilla, scaladilo choco chip, black currant, butterscotch etc.which must not be missed here.

vikendi is a café and restaurant that has recently opened in jubilee hills. vikendi is a slovenian word which means weekend. this place has multiple different seating areas – both indoors and outdoors and filled with beautiful plants that enhance the ambience. i was invited here for a food tasting.

among the mocktails i tried out the seasonal punch, green slush, virgin colada, watermelon sensation and strawberry cooler. they also have thick frappes topped with whipped cream out of which i tasted the brownie and oreo frappe. they also have a banana milkshake which is quite thick and topped with whipped cream.

now coming to the food, the watermelon feta salad is quite fresh and topped with rocket. the caesar chicken salad was quite flavorful and served with croutons and poppadom. the fried chicken popcorns had a crispy outer coating and tasted quite good. the achari chili poppers had a crisp outer coating with an inside filled with gooey cheese mixed with achari flavors. the pizza chick-o-cock doodle was a rectangular shaped thin base pizza topped with chicken and bell peppers marinated in barbecue sauce. ginger sesame chicken had chicken pate strips on a skewer topped with sesame and served with a sweet sauce. they also serve burgers in both veg and chicken variants. i then tried out their pasta. the penne pasta with pesto sauce was creamy but lacked flavors. the fusilli with chicken and red sauce also needs some improvement.

among the desserts i had the almond and the mocha brownie both of which was quite flavorful. the berry panna cotta was served with blue berries and strawberries. they also have a range of gelatos that are quite creamy and delicious – very berry, butterscotch, scaladilo chocolate chip, black currant and french vanilla.

vikendi is located in the lanes of jubilee hills with pretty interiors and beautiful ambience the place is very vibrant and has got a very different vibe ! starting off with food
beet root and goat cheese salad and chicken ceaser salad both the salads were good enough ! i personally liked the beetroot and goat cheese salad as it was mild and had perfect balance of flavours! in the appetizers we had soya chilli con carne, masala nachos and chicken wings i personally felt the wings could have been a lil spicy! next up we had burgers jalapeño popping burger and crumb fried chicken burger ! the stuffing needs to be increased in the burger as the burger buns are huge and the stuffing is quite less comparitively! but they did taste decent enough tho ! we also had garden fresh pizza and peri peri chicken pizza ! thin crust pizza base ! i really liked the pizzas here ! from the pastas we had butter chicken penne and chicken penne pesto sauce ! pesto needs a lot of improvement as i couldn't get any flavour in it but i liked the butter chicken one it was good ! from the grills we got our hands on chicken breast with mashed potato although the chicken tasted good but the mashed potato was big disappointment here it was totally bland and didn't have even salt ! we did try their mocktails but only couple of them were good they really need to work on them !!
bay breeze ,virgin colada ,strawberry cooler,shirley temple ,seasonal punch ,green slush,vikendi sparkles,watermelon sensation out of all these only vikendi sparkle and watermelon sensation was good ! but they do have decent coffee i really liked the cappuccino here! they do specialise in gelatos ! we had
french vanila, fruits nd nuts,butterscotch ,black currant ,brownie , very bery which were good ! we also had
mochanut brownie , almond brownie, hazelnut brownie ! so yum and delectable! gooey brownies topped with chocolate syrup !

vikendi is located at park view enclave, road no 1 jubliee hills. they have huge seating space which includes cafe at the ground floor and lounge & garden area at 1st floor. we started with mocktails - vikendi sparkle, baybreeze and seasonal punch and milkshakes - oreo and strawberry which tasted decent. when it comes to food we tried honey chilli potato in which potatoes were crispy with perfect balance of sweet and spicy. rocket watermelon with feta cheese was salty sweet, light and refreshing tossed with fresh basil leaves. fusilli primavera veg pasta and margherita pizza was decent enough. ending the meal with desserts we had choc molten lava cake, panna cotta with berry coulis and choco hazelnut with brandy snap tacos all of them were delicious with right amount of sweetness !

( pillar no c 1050) it will be on the left side, from 2nd u turn on main road.

they have pretty cool ambience, ground floor is cafe, first floor is lounge area, and also they have cute garden area. place is so neat and hygiene. really liked the ambience ⭐️

coming to food they have good varieties of dishes . we started with some amazing mocktail's and milkshakes. then had salad - rocket watermelon 🍉 with peta cheese, honey chilli potato ( crispy and tasty👌) , threeway bruschetta ( it's made with 3 different veggies and it's topped with cheese) must try ✨ .
loved the fish and chips ❤️

apart from this they also serve, pizza, pasta, club sandwiches, rice bowls, hot and cold beverages, burgers, wraps, skewers and fries.

desserts - chocolava cake, panacotta with berries, choco hazelnut with tacos (must try, loved it ⭐️)

overall an it was an amazing experience, food, service, ambience, polite staff. do visit this new place in jubilee hills.💛
