great food, sloppy service. i've eaten at viet taste three times - all for lunch. the food is great. the vermicelli tastes fresh, as does the banh mi. the restaurant looks great and the prices are perfect. however, the delivery leaves that lingering "needs improvement" thought about the place. first, entrees should never come out before appetizers. i don't know if it was the kitchen's fault or the server's fault, but it's tacky. secondly, we shouldn't have to continually ask for drink refills - especially when the restaurant is not busy. these are just simple improvements which would make the entire experience at the restaurant awesome.

best vietnamese food, especially pho tai in knoxville. very good pho tai, freshly preapred tasty vietnamese food...good portions and fair pricing...

thrilled to find this place! the food was great, restaurant very clean, and our server was very friendly despite our arriving 10 minutes before closing! we highly recommend you check this place out!

unfortunately another let down for vietnamese food in knoxville. great reviews for quality on the web but just figure they are taking shortcuts during these times. the basil fried rice had only 3 pieces of basil for the full order. the lemongrass stir fry had absolutely no lemongrass. both had proteins that were rarely tasted or visible. spring rolls were surprisingly pathetic and bland. the take out soup didn't have enough broth to cover or make soup out of the garnishes. when i called to let them know i didn't want a refund but wanted to let them know there food quality and portions have slipped the gentleman on the phone did not care. would not recommend based off of this experience. not good food quality.

great food! pho broth is amazing and the lettuce wraps rock! their fish sauce is my spicy so it is great for kids too. i wish they had a crepe, but other than that great food!

food is great. wait time is a little slow but took recommendation from another reviewer and tried the pho! so good especially when your sick! shrimp in pants was also delicious as well as bbq pork. will definitely be returning!

food was fine, especially the spicy noodles, but the service was terrible. so bad, i kept thinking that the real waiter was going to show up, but never did. i had to walk him through everything. asking to bring us plates. then asking for clean ones as we didn't want the ones with old rice stuck on them.

the pho here is legit; consistent noodle texture and fresh tasting broth and toppings. the service here has never been a problem for me. as good as the pho is, my personal fave is the ca chien sot ca, a fish dish with fresh cucumber, cilantro, and a wholesomely delicious tomato sauce.

it's really a $$ restaurant. prices are closer to the $$, but still very affordable. the pho is as low as $8.95 and run as high as $10. the other entrees run from $10-$15. looking forward to eating at viet taste. heard great reviews!

this place rocks!. we found ourselves in knoxville last week. for lunch, we went to viet taste as a party of three. the restaurant is attached to a mall type center. the interior is clean and bright. our waiter was informative and attentive. all three of us ordered different pho and just one banh mi appetizer. huge bowls of pho were presented to us along with a generous plate of assorted fresh veggies. the thai bail was just picked perfect. this pho was truly well balanced and delicous. we all agreed the banh mi was perfectly tasty.
move over chicken soup! this pho is the reigning cure-all for hangovers, hurt feelings and most of all, hunger.

fantastic! fast service even during the holidays. friendly servers. clean but not fancy. we got three different meals and everyone in our party thought all of them were delicious (we shared). we will definitely return!

you must try this place!! so good!. we were so disappointed when the location in turkey creek closed. then we found out this was the same! to me, though, this location (n. peters road beside panera) is much better than having to get into the mess at tc. our family ate here this evening to celebrate my birthday and it was great. everyone tried something different and loved it all. the food was very fresh, very flavorful and steaming! i can't remember or pronounce the items we had, except that one was a "bird's nest" with crispy noodles, another a vermicelli bowl with fresh vegetables and pork, a rice dish with combo of meats w/ crisp-tender veggies in a clay pot. the atmosphere is very pleasant, much nicer than the old taste of thai (former restaurant in this spot), and the service was great, too. we will definitely be back again and again and again.

great food. this is the same owner that ran vietnamese bistro in turkey creek. great food and the portions are very generous...most of the noodle and rice dishes can be split between two people. highly recommend the 7.1 noodle dish.

ahhhhh... glad they are here!. i love bun ga nuong cha gio and all the pho soups. clean and tasty food.

tasty indeed. great experience. food was fresh, and seafood was good quality. the meals we had were not too heavy, so we left feeling healthy. service was great as well. will definitely go back.
