just been to velvet taco for a quick dinner
parking was easy too
we had
crab , shrimp , paneer , chic 65 , buffalo chic , chic taco
all of them yummy and quickly served.
we sat outside with music & lights it was superb
a must taco place for taco lovers 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

they have paneer tacos - enough said! and chicken tikka tacos.... and these are really good, if not quite authentic. but then again you don't go here for authentic anything. it's a fresh take on tacos and it hits the spot. it's open till 4:30am on weekends, and perfect solution for post booze hunger pangs.

i was very impressed by the quality of the taco that features roast chicken. one of the biggest issues for me with tacos at various venues around town (and not just with taco trucks) is that the chicken is typically boiled and shredded and then refrigerated until ready to use. i can taste that distinct day old refrigerator taste in the chicken, especially with the dark meat and if the skin has been left on.

at velvet taco, you will see the chickens being roasted rotisserie style. note: the best deal to keep in mind is the monday $10 whole roasted chicken with sides.

and that is the chicken that goes onto your taco resulting in a clean, fresh taste that one doesn't find elsewhere. for me, that it worth the price of admission.

now, the nashville hot tofu option was good, and fun. those are the only two tacos i have sampled.

one could have a filling meal on one taco for less than $5 here.

flank steak taco is my favorite! tender meat cooked perfectly (medium) and full of flavor. also love the ahi tuna -- the macadamia nuts are unexpected but really bring out the tuna flavor.

mexican food has always been my favourite so v tried this place during our visit to dallas. i must say we were really happy that did try tacos here . very good tasty and fresb tacos with lively environment and staff.

the tacos were really good. place is bustling with crowd even at early hours of saturday. tacos were soft and the filing was tasty. cozy and small location. staff was friendly and reasonably priced. had a nice time with my friends.

uhhhhmazing!!!!!. what an amazing little taco stand this is! everything was very clean, the staff was so happy to be at work, and the food was to die for. we had the potatoes and the corn. both had flavors that made my mouth happy. then we had two tacos each. they were all so good. we had (i don't know the names so i'm going to guess) a mediterranean, hamburger, and two rotisserie chicken ones. i cannot imagine anything your ordered here would not be good. love love love this place!!!!!

the salmon taco was delightful. as was the queso blanco. would absolutely eat this again. we took to go but the in house dining looked great as well.

i had a quick bite and nice beer here while at a conference at the nearby hilton. my burger was good and cooked to order. i thought it was on the expensive side, but i didn't try any other local restaurants to compare.

restaurant was an open concept. i can see large groups coming here. however it can get loud.

this is for first time we have tried velvet taco as one of my close friend took us there for late night snacking. actually i am not fan of tacos but here we had best taco we ever had. they have varieties of options including chicken, beef, shrimp, veggie. also, delicious treat for vegetarians as they veg options such as fried paneer, tofu etc. we have tried chicken tikka and fried paneer taco and chicken tikka taco was amazing but fried paneer was okay and nothing compared to chicken tikka taco. and especially their in house red curry added delicious flavour to taco. the sauce has tangy flavour with hot spice😂
ambience was great and kinda fun loving place and staff was friendly and polite although they having hard time in getting correct customer’s name😀
the best part of this restaurant that they offer services till 4 am in the morning during friday and saturday which makes it right place for late night snacking.
we definitely gonna try it again and again for sure.

tikka chicken taco , a must try i would say. rated by the price . i would say a prefect blend of western and indian food. loved its taste , but too expensive for me.

they are open until 4 am most days and are busy the entire time. they have a very nice selection of tacos including seafood and vegan. most everything is house made and it shows. on top of that the prices are reasonable and they have a great selection of drinks. this is a place you can be a regular customer and always be happy with whatever you order.

i loved having tacos here, forst experience of an authentic taco, the chicken taco was amazing. especially the side dish with the egg was delicious. it had potato. the tacos are literally so smooth on ur tomgue that its hard to believe. sauces are superb.

they have the right formula at velvet taco- streamlined ordering process, no frills, but the food is consistently delicious ! i would frequent this establishment often if i lived in houston!

one of the best taco place in houston, love their atmosphere ! i just love their fried paneer taco !! the paneer is so soft on inside and crunchy on outside topped with tomato chutney, fresh basil, raita making it a perfect combo when put together. love it ! can’t get over the addiction!! will visit the place for more !
