unbelievably great breakfast - cubed potato and scrambled egg breakfast burrito heaping with smoked brisket. the tortilla was warm, fresh and wrapped like a soft blanket around the generous filling. brisket had a great smoky flavor, but a few drops of the house-made sauce really elevated every bite.

i got there right before the lunch crowd showed up so we didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes to put an order in. we tried brisket and then a couple different tacos. the tortillas were the best i’ve ever had and the brisket was really good.

#27 stop in our texas monthly 50 bbq challenge.

ordered guacamole, chips, and smoked corn off the cob. also ordered a limeaid. from a bbq trailer. it was good - real good!

as this is our eighth bbq place today, decided to finish off with something diffrrent. but not to worry, we got to sample the brisket and it was superb.

the guacamole was fresh and very tasty. the chips were a bit coarse which set off the guacamole beautifully.

the smoked corn off the cob was the star. so nice and crisp but still cooked in butter and spiced a bit. it is like eating the mexican street corn without messing with that pesky cob.

the limeaid was tart and fruity but sweet enough to be refreshing. highly recommended.

who thinks food trailers suck. try this place - you won't be disapointed.

so dang good!! where to start...

we were not their first customer, but we were early admirers dating back to the other trailer two spots ago :)

look, everything is amazing here, so it depends on what suits you. the brisket is spot on every time.

i had a brisket stuffed burger (it was a special) that was truly amazing and huge.

they are known for their tacos and a strongly recommend the real deal holyfield for breakfast. you only need one and will not be disappointed...it will be a selfie moment.

valentina’s tex mex bbq falls into that group of barbecue joints that like to do things that aren’t exactly traditional barbecue. in this case, it’s pitmaster miguel vidal and business partner michael lerner fusing barbecue and tex mex flavours and foods to create their own thing.

we had not been to valentina's before, but it was high on our agenda of places to try this year. at valentina's you place your order at the trailer window, take a number, and claim your territory at one of many picnic tables while you wait. it didn't hurt that they're located in the parking lot of a convenience store, so there are plenty of options for ice-cold beverages right there.

we settled on brisket tacos, a sausage link and a couple of pork spareribs. they jalapeno-cheese sausage they brought was okay, but not particularly remarkable. the ribs were seasoned and cooked well, but once we saw the brisket tacos, we knew we were onto something special. served on their own homemade tortillas, with guacamole, salsa and a wedge of lime to squeeze, these were a highlight of the day. my only regret is that we didn't order them with sliced brisket so we could have had a better feel for the overall quality of the beef product, but the chopped was excellent anyway. we will definitely be including valentina's on future bbq runs in the austin area based on these tacos alone!

this is one of the first food trucks i tried in austin. their salsa is great. i had the cerveza fajita taco and it was phenomenal. i would definitely go and try their food, they are also really receptive on social media and commented on one of my instagram photos, which i think is always a nice gesture.

cute little food truck on west 6th with tasty barbecue. make sure you get there a few hours before they close because they run out of their meat sometimes. besides that though everything here is really good. one of my favorites foods there was their queso.

a must in austin! the bbq smoked brisket tacos are moist, juicy and melt in your mouth good. the taco came with a sea-salt lime guacamole and tomato serrano salsa. great punch of flavors with friendly service. one of my favorite taco trucks in town- kills 2 birds with one stone, taco and bbq...bingo!! they are now located on brodie lane.

sometimes fusion cuisines are a really good idea. the uniting of korean food with tacos blew our minds. bacon combined with nearly any time of dessert is always a magical experience. it was only really a matter of time before someone actively* brought together the beloved texas of texmex and barbecue.
