very disappointed. ambience is very poor. food very ordinary. i had fish tortillas with avacado salsa and chilli jam. the fish was battered and the batter was thicken than the fish, which was frozen. couldn't taste the fish. the salsa tastes was overriden by the raw red onion and the chilli jam was watery salsa out of a jar. very poor first impression. will not go back

i tried urth on a sunday for brunch it wasn't too busy. cute cafe with extensive menu. they are happy to substitute and change items on the menu for you. i would come again. there are heaps of cafes in toowoomba and this one is pretty mediocre but you won't be disappointed.

delicious acai bowls, perfect on a hot day. the baked eggs is a fantastic winter warmer breakfast and they do sweet potato chips. what more could you want. great atmosphere, good place to go to catch up with friends

this is a great place to go if you really want to be left alone or enjoy being treated as a huge inconvenience.
we arrived at 10:30am on a saturday morning to a dining space with only one table occupied. a couple of wait staff were clearing another table nearby, and barely glanced at us as we wondered whether to seat ourselves or try to find a service counter somewhere (you'll find it, should you decide to walk deeper into the cafe, hidden around behind a wall).
we waited for a little while as the couple of staff bustled around us, not greeting us, clearing items from our table without a word or glance, and decided to go hunt down some menus.
when placing our orders we found the staff incredibly unfriendly- they seemed barely able to tolerate our patronage. perhaps something extremely negative had happened that morning and the staff were all deeply traumatised by it? somehow the delightful barista hadn't experienced the pain the rest of the staff had suffered and managed cheery banter as she delivered our luke warm coffees. one previous review claims urth sports the best coffee in toowoomba- maybe if most of the cafes are shut. i'm no coffee connoisseur but warm-ish and weak are easy to identify.
our food was tasty but overpriced for a cafe in the middle of the queensland produce bowl. smashed avo with a side of bacon and a small coffee came in at just over $25 dollars. presentation was humble, but the food came out quickly and still hot which is a huge credit in toowoomba.
we ate quickly, marvelling as other patrons had their meals placed wordlessly in front of them by the manager (?) and left as soon as we were done.
tasty food never covers shocking customer service. we won't be going back.

this is a worthwhile place to try, the service is polite and friendly. the food is a bit cheaper than most places and the portion sizes are smaller. a concern is the layout and poorly designed seating/ table arrangements.

went here for brekkie on a cold toowoomba morning. bf ordered the avo smash which he loved. i had the acai bowl which was nice but not quiye sweet enough for me. food was beautifully presented and my boyfriend tells me that it was the best coffee hes had in toowoomba. only problem is the indoor seating is limited so we froze our butts off sitting outiside even with the heat lamps on.
went here for brekkie again today. had the eggs benny sams hollandaise. it was beautiful! eggs had some serious yolk porn going on. the bf had the avo smash again, amazing as per last time.

i honestly cannot rave enough about this place. i want to eat there each and every day! some workmates and i made our first visit in july for the tapas night and thouroughly enjoyed ourselves and the food. we have since followed up with lunch which was far from disappointing and now more than one of us eagerly follows thier facebook page for updates on daily specials and new menu items. a great atmosphere with friendly staff, a great menu, tasty and well-presented food.
