always awesome. my family of five love the uptown deli. the owners and staff are always very, very friendly and helpful. the food is as good as it gets. they seem to have figured out all the possible shortcomings of a deli and made sure they had the best of everything. one of our sons has tried every sandwich they make and can't decide on a favorite! the uptown deli has our highest recommendation. as a popular local foodie says, eat it and like it!

best sandwich ever! their service is incredible! my kids love going on saturday for hot dogs and canolis. everyone is super nice and my kids always have a good time. i would totally recommend this place to anyone

awesome deli-my kids love it!. whenever my children have a day off of school they make only one request for their special lunch out....uptown deli. family friendly and always welcoming. sandwiches are huge and delicious. my 11 year old daughter is especially fond of the godfather...go figure! :) uptown deli is my go-to for company from out of town....especially my mother from the bronx! a great deli run by a great family!

stopped in route from fl to nc. close to i 95, spotless, delicious, nice variety, and very nice folks! highly recommend

great local deli. i've enjoyed the uptown deli since i've moved to richmond hill. the sandwiches are awesome. their soups and salads are delicious. great family atmosphere - the owners go out of their way to accommodate requests.

they say "where new york meats the south," but it's nothing comparable to a new york deli, nor is it really good. the sandwiches my wife and i had were slack on the meat/filling and for the most part bland; both of which is very un-new york. the only new york thing about this place are the prices.

the waldorf chicken salad was tasteless, just mayonnaise dumped on chicken, apples, and grapes - no seasoning or spices whatsoever. same goes for the gorgonzola potato salad - not even a hint of gorgonzola. one sorta-positive was the garlic focaccia bread, it had flavor but was on the greasy side. overall a waste of $20 (including my husband's sub par reuben wannabe and standard side of bland coleslaw) and 30 minutes out of our road trip.

uptown deli, the place where new york "meats" the south. easily the best sandwiches in richmond hill and very competive with some of the better delis in savannah and elsewhere. a bit more expensive than average ($7.94), but portion sizes are fairly generous and they taste great, definitely an $8 sandwich, you get what you pay for. for an extra $2.50 you can get your sandwich "trump'd up" and they double the meat. it's gonna be "huge"! they also sell lunch meat by the pound, looks like mostly boar's head brand. the service is very friendly and quite fast. the seating area is clean and well lit, nice big bay windows so you can get a terrific and scenic view of hightway 17. definitely adding to my short list of regularly visited richmond hill resteraunants.

expensive and not kid friendly. i have been here several times and the food has always been good, but very expensive. i took my children there to get sandwiches to go and the lady behind the register was very rude to them. i asked my son (3), whom is very quiet and well behaved, what he wanted out of the case. he pointed to it and when he did the lady at the register snapped at him and asked him not to touch the glass he's 3, lady! . i will not be back. there are much better places to eat in richmond hill that are less expensive. i am not the first to point out that this place is not kid friendly at all. i was originally told it wasn't by several people at my church. a little advice, you can't move in to a family community and not be family friendly!

best sandwiches in richmond hill. absolutely love uptown deli! you walk in the door and are immediately greeted by the owners and their wonderful staff. the sandwiches are piled high with delicious boars head meat and made with fresh bread. whether i try a new sandwich or stick with my favorite, i'm always happy with my choice. make sure you try their pasta salad!! fantastic meal for a great price!

favorite place to get a sandwich in the "hill". absolutely love this place. fast and very friendly service, all of our family members feel at home when they have a sandwich at uptown. the only dilemma i have is which sandwich to order, they are all so good. i usually go with the uptown (classic reuben) or the ellis island (you gotta try it, you'll love it). this is a great place to go if quality and value are important to you.

love uptown deli & bakery. awesome owners, even better food! everything is fresh and delicious...always. sandwiches are huge. they are accomodating to everyone's needs. never an upcharge to change the type of bread on your sandwich. speaking of breads...yum. chicken salad is sooo good. can't say enough about everything on the menu. go try it. you will love your meal and fred & jen and their staff.

top quality deli sandwiches. for some good top quality deli meat and sandwich bread this is the place to go. the price of the meal is worth for what you get. this place serves the high quality boars head meats. it's all lean healthy and not stored in watered down bags. it's all freshly cut daily to include the cheese and additional addings to a sandwich. the bread is not thin and soft like subway and can actually hold together when enjoying your meal. instead of water and excess juices from the meats and veggies the bread doesn't get soft from it and holds its shape and strength. you can enjoy your sandwich without worrying about a mess. the atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. they offer a military discount as well. this place is overall way better than subway any day anytime.
