ever been to spain?

no, then you should visit this place to get some spain experience and also to try some spanish-inspired food here at uno mas goa, a restaurant serving spanish tapas and some more spanish flavours.

the area is colorful and also every corner of this place has interesting and eye-catching details.

uno mas is a jam in north goa. a perfect place to spend evenings with some chill goa vibes, the relaxed and soothing ambiance with some cocktails and spanish food is a perfect match with some great live music and with gin curated cocktails by tamras.

the menu features tortilla, tacos, queso flameado, tapas, gambas al ajillo and more.

here's what i tried😍
• gambas al ajillo
• pescado mantequilla
• escalivada
• queso de cabra
• peri peri chicken skewers
• chicken tacos
• paella de marisco
• croquetas de pollo
• tres leches (dessert)
• alice in wonderland (drink)
• tamras paloma (drink)

and also the best part was their dessert tres leches. which is a moist vanilla sponge soaked in the delicious milky blend.

if are you in goa then you should get some spanish experience here at uno mas goa.

uno mas roughly translated as one more is a modest yet cheerful restaurant serving spanish tapas. ornate wooden furniture in a garden setting with freshly made fruity red wine sangria’s complete the med experience.
the host and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the meal.
we ordered everything to share and the portions were perfect.
the gambas ajillo had fresh succulent prawns swimming in a lovely olive oil and garlic sauce. similarly, the albondigas were perfectly cooked in a rich tomato gravy. both the dishes were served with crusty bread which we dunked into the delicious sauces.
patatas bravas is the quintessential tapas dish which means potatoes accompanied by hot sauce and is a dish you have to order in any self-respecting spanish restaurant and we were definitely impressed with their preparation.
next on our sampling list was migas also called the shepard’s breakfast in parts of iberia. a delicious melange of bacon, chorizo, bread croutons and a fried egg.
for a change we moved to the mexican section and sampled the tacos carnitas. the freshness of the finely chopped vegetables and the fragrant meat in the soft-shelled tacos were an explosion of flavours in our mouths.
the piece-de-resistance off course had to be the national dish of spain, paella (named after the shallow pan in which it is cooked), here we opted for the chicken and it was prepared wonderfully well and the nutty brown caramelized rice at the bottom of the pan also called socarrat was scrumptious. it was a pity that the portion was much smaller than we expected.
they have also introduced a novel experience for the guest where they will pour out a wine cocktail from a kettle spout straight into your mouth but beware if you are wearing white.
truly a gastronomic and heavenly experience.
we didn’t have any place left for dessert but the wonderful host anka was gracious enough to send us a tres leches which we all shared.
highly recommended if you want a taste of the mediterranean in goa.

headed to this new spanish restaurant in vagator for a little sneak-around 😍 but to be fair, i've been to uno mas in mumbai, so i'm no stranger to their food!
there's so much to love here! the outside area is so colourful (but quite hot during the afternoons) and every corner of the restaurant has interesting details that catch your eye.
let's talk food! i started with one of my favourites - gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns cooked in prawn head oil). i also tried migas which is an interesting dish comprising of chorizo and bacon served with croutons, grapes and a fried egg that you have to scramble together. albondigas, or meatballs in spanish is a simple yet delightful appetizer as well. remember to sample the montaditos (tapas-sized bread with a choice of toppings) i picked caramelized onion and goat's cheese. can't go wrong with this match made in heaven 💕
uno mas currently has a weekend brunch running called 'no siesta come fiesta,' and the menu features tortilla, tacos, brunch bikini, queso flameado and more. the retro playlist they had on played hit after hit and set a wonderful tone to the afternoon. they have a supervised kids area where there is someone to entertain the kids while you sip on sangria. and the space is pet friendly. have to mention the great service as well.
i'd be more than happy to have a long lunch, take a siesta and return for dinner the same day 🇪🇸

uno mas is a gem. it has a perfect mix of great food and cocktails, superb location and offers a chilled out goa vibe. we ordered verde, croquetas de polo, new zealand lamb chops and seafood paella. the bartenders were kind enough to customize cocktails to our requests. looking forward to going back soon.

oh! how we've missed you, uno mas!
when we heard one of our favorite restaurants from mumbai had relocated to goa, we couldn't wait to pop in and recreate our memories.

they surely did not disappoint!

firstly, the location is stunning.
they have managed to retain, if not added on to, the original vibe that uno mas exuded.
an eclectic mix of modern and traditional spanish decor that is blended with the idyllic allure of goa, transports you to a different world.

of course we had to dive in and check out my favourites from the menu.

the creamy mushroom croquettas,
the gambas/prawns ,
and the familar migas were exactly how we remembered, scrumptious and perfect.
accompanied with their delicious signature cocktails, the frenchie and the kalingad.
how i've missed this combo!
their signature seafood paella(paella de marisco) and paella verduras were spot on too.

tables full of friends and family, sharing delicious food, drinking curated wines and cocktails, laughter and conversations in the air, spanish music and flamenco dancers in the background! all this helped us make new and even more vibrant memories.

we left saying, definitely uno mas!

i'd been to the uno mas in mumbai and used to love it. was pleasantly surprised to find it in goa. they'd just opened when i was there. everything i loved about it was there, from the food to the furniture. the food was great. the tapas and cocktails were very refreshing. very very close to authentic spanish food according to a friend of mine who was with me (and had been to spain). the service was also superb. they changed my friend's cocktail simply because she said she found it a little too sweet for her taste.
