dined here on a sunday night for dinner.. the interiors are lovely, and literally make you feel you're in mexico.

the lady serving us was warm and polite. she suggested that i should try the swirl which is mix of frozen margarita and frozen sangria. (ironically, the freezing cold weather was tempting me, and my folks were forcing me to give it a try). teetotaler me actually went ahead and ordered it.. there's always a first time..
anyway, the drink was fine.. but frankly, i think i would've been happier sipping on to their mango passion lemonade. 😂

we ordered chicken fajitas, chicken enchiladas and veggie quesadilla.. the quesadilla stole the show.. we we're stuffed by the the end and i struggled to finish as usual. sadly, there was no room for dessert. 😑

otherwise, we would've definitely called for their famous chocolate lovers pinata. their chocolate pinata is the most instagramed dessert, with everyone recording videos and clicking pictures of the massive dessert.

our neighbouring table ordered for the pinata and believe me, you need to have a gigantic appetite to finish this monstrous dessert which is filled with churros, strawberries, blackberries, whipped cream, chocolate and some heavenly sauces.

looks like i'll have to wait and indulge in it during my next trip. and i'll make sure that i just order the dessert then and nothing else! 😂

great atmosphere. busy on a saturday night and the service kind of suffered...not too bad though. food amazing! great queso. definitely recommend.

$1.00 tacos tuesdays, all day n night!. they are fresh and delicious! and yes, you read it right, $1.00 each, for chicken or beef on tuesdays!! (grapevine location only). impressed!

okay. i used to love this place but the last few times i've noticed their servings have become much smaller. 1-10 i'd give it a 6.

good chips, great margaritas, salsa was watery, table side quac totally worth it, entrees are large and fresh

the chomp was delicioso maybe even sabroso.
the live guacamole is divine.
taro has a huge crush on the fajitas and the wine.

my family came into town for a family reunion. we decided to go to uncle julios since we knew they can accommodate kids. we had 6 adults and 4 children. the hostess was very nice and greeted us warmly. the table was ready based on our reservation. the service was great and the kids were all able to find something they liked. this is a great place for family functions and the food was great as always. we will definitely go back.

absolutely not worth the high cost menu. don’t know why anyone would go there. so many better mexican or tex-mex restaurants to choose from

been here twice.  thought the first time was a miss on food quality and service.  second time thought that we would have a better experience--no so much.  went there for something simple--appetizers and drinks with friends.  turned out to be a disappointing mess of appetizers where care wasn't even given to presentation nor temperature.  had to send them back to kitchen and they nuked them in the microwave.  won't be back until i see other reviews on this place--can't justify a third attempt.

service was friendly but not as prompt as i would have hoped. there is both indoor and outdoor seating, they make their own corn tortillas onsite. the margaritas and homemade lemonades are good. their tacos are a little dry for my liking as i tried both the csrnitas and fish (and both were overcooked). the star though is their salsa which is made with smoked pablano peppers, so good and unique. they validate parking from nearby garages so make sure you ask the host or your waiter/waitress/bar tender.

the food here is a 4.0. the view and location is a 4.5. the service is hit or.miss. the food was fresh and very tasty. the restaurant is in a nice location and very busy. the service was very long delays taking hours to get through dinner. i was having a business meeting. a couple of other times very reasonable so if you want great food and atmosphere and have 2-3 hours, stop in for dinner. the cost was reasonable.

requested a table for five at 6:20 pm, we were told 40 to 45 minutes so we settled in at the bar. 1 hour 50 minutes later after multiple trips to verify the still had us on the list we were seated. thirty minutes after that food arrived. the waiter (blake) was the only bright spot this evening. i have no doubt the food would have been much longer without his efforts.

seating staff blamed patrons that were "lingering" which i though was in very poor taste. there were some i noted but not the majority of parties of 4-5. the issue seems to be uncle julio's insistence on targeting certain party sizes at round tops (5 place), square tops (4 place), etc. this results in parties of 2-4 seating much faster. they won't pull apart some table sets or combine others. they certainly do not work hard to seat people closer to the order of arrival. this is understandable with parties of 8, 10, plus but they are completely hung up on it here.

avoid this place with any more that 4 people unless you make it in very early in the evening. and completely on friday - saturday night. opt for pappadeux's they are better set up to handle things.

been here at least 10 times, going downhill fast. slow service, manager hides in back, too bad :). at one time was best mexican food in area.

had busy day at uncle julio's in grapevine and was definitely disappointed with the service all around (server, bus boys, and manager).

this place is great. have been here several times and never disappointed. the fajitas are the way to go- they added a red snapper fajita a few months ago and it is delicious.
