too cool for school. these people need a reality check.. tonight we visited two bouys for dinner. these people need a reality check. food is very expensive and the portion sizes are ridiculous. large sharing plates are a joke. we stopped for pizza on our way home.

good service. after several visits we have decided a serve each of the calamari and a salad is perfect. this way it's not so pricey. the pumpkin flatbread is delish but i think it's a store bought bread which lets it down.

the space is lovely and welcoming. the staff are generally friendly and helpful. most of the menu is share platters and tapas style food and works well. i had the fish and chips which are excellent. a decent sized serve, gorgeously cooked chips and beautifully cooked and battered fish with just the right moisture. the only ones as good as these were ones i had on magnetic island about four years ago. the ham and cheese croquettes with red pepper sauce were also terrific together with the wombok salad which was fresh and zesty. the only sour note was with the grain salad which cost one of our party an eye watering $23. the salad is really small and very poor value so consider the dish only with your eyes very wide open. otherwise this is a good local restaurant. we like it and will definitely be back. it’s a good sound option in this area.

a favourite. i adore this place, me and my partner used to attend regularly before a stint in europe recently went back to 2 buoys and still love it! the wait staff are friendly and relaxed, a broad range of wines are available, but check out their cocktails!!! i adore a good old espresso martini! with food to please everyone it's a great place to catch up with old friends. in summer the deck is the perfect spot to sit but its very cosy in winter as well :)

great company, great food, brilliant drinks, brilliant music, brilliant vibe, brilliant service, brilliant view. support this small business!!! such a good venue with friendly staff and amazing food, along with incredible cocktails. will be coming back soon!

we went to this venue for dinner and ordered the full rack of ribs and a bowl of chips to share. the food came cold and tasteless. the salad served with the ribs felt like it literally was put together using canned beans and canned corn. it was watery, and had no dressing.
the ribs which costed us $38, was bland, cold and felt like it was prepared a few days ago and microwaved prior to serving.
we then asked the wait staff if we could get a side of bbq sauce as the ribs was very bland. we couldn’t find any servers for 10 minutes and i had to go into the kitchen to call them out when i saw them just chatting with each other and the kitchen staff.
i then proceeded to ask for the sauce in which they replied, “i’m not sure we can do that, we will have to check with the chefs.”. i then said that the food was flavourless hence why we had to ask for the sauce. he didn’t acknowledge that i had said how bland the food was / offer to make us a new one. he just gave us a side of the bbq sauce and went back to chat with his work mates.
we are so disappointed in this experience and hopefully our review will help others to reconsider before spending their money here.

extremely disappointed with the food, came here with my family for lunch and left famished $250.00 later. the portions are not worth the price you pay. we had ordered some chicken sliders, but could only get one as they didn’t have any brioche bread left, got to the counter to pay and they were more than happy to charge us had i not said anything. would not come here again absolute rip off!

extremely disappointed. we ordered quite a lot of meals to share between 3 people, and we didn’t manage to finish one! the oysters were a major let down, chicken wings were barely marinated, tuna sashimi was thick and had no sauce to accompany it! the bill came to over $300 and the food quality did not match the price!!
it was a real let down!

this place used to be my go to for churros. unfortunately i can no longer say the same.
food is no longer the same standard as before and the dishes were under average.
on the bright side, service is really attentive and this place generally gives off good vibes.
also helps when it’s located right next to the pier.

i’ve been coming with my family to two buoys for several years and have enjoyed the experience every single time. but that all changed last night.
i understand that this restaurant has come under new management in the last few months but didn’t read through the reviews until i got home last night. what i’m about to write only further confirms the negative ratings they have received over the past few months. my concern is, why aren’t they listening!

what first struck me was how quiet it was, this place use to be packed to the brim with people particularly at this time of year.

they advertise a tapas menu and a restaurant menu. we wanted to order from both, but the waitress told us embarrassingly, that we were apparently seated on the restaurant side and could only order from the restaurant menu. to have tapas we would need to move over to the other side of the venue to order tapas. however, we wanted to order from both menus, we were told this was not allowed! so we stayed with the restaurant menu.

we ordered drinks to start with. all we could taste in the mojito was sugar, not alcohol. the “jonny walker red” had sugar in it.

we ordered the saganaki which was really sweet, admittedly they do state they put honey on it, however the entire flavor of the cheese is lost. my son had fish and chips which were nice, his meal came out first. mine came out next, i had grilled garlic prawns as a main. there were 4 prawns drowning in oil and one slice of thin sourdough cut in half. this meal had no flavor and should not be served as a main at $25 this was way over priced. my parents ordered the seafood paella for two at $68. their meal came out 20 minutes after mine so i was sitting there with my prawns going cold waiting for the paella to come out! the paella serving size was for one person not for two, way too small for the price we paid and it was tasteless.
we then had the chocolate cake and the churros which were really tasty but the serving size of the cake was so small and compared with the churros with 5 long donuts. inconsistent serving sizes.

i feel sorry for the staff as all around us we could hear complaints and you can see on their faces that this is not new to them. and it also shows in the customer service we received, not friendly at all.

this use to be our families favorite place to eat when we came to dromana for our getaways. it had a great ambiance, tasty food and friendly service. i really hope they can get it together so that they can deserve the claim they still have on their website of award winning! they’ve certainly got a long way to go. we won’t be going back anytime soon.

arrived with no booking two kids and a pram and staff accommodated with a nice outdoor area. food and service was great. had the scallops, whitebait, fritters, pear and almond salad and the kids had the pasta. everything bar the pears in the salad were perfect. well priced venue with a nice view and great service. strawberry sorbet was a nice finisher.

2 stars one for the location and beach view the other is for the customer service the staff are great however the food is well below average and overpriced. not a great range to chose from either. there are so many great choices of places to eat at on the peninsula and this is one to avoid.

two buoys is consistently good. i used to come here 10 years ago, and i’ve been 4 times in the past 6 months and it’s been good every time. tonight we ordered the plate of sliders which we all agreed were our favourites, the muscles, cheese, spring rolls, churros, and some wine. the churros were so light and fluffy they were cooked to perfection and we were obsessed with them. i’d say my only negative would be that not enough bread comes with the muscles. i love this place..it has the friendliest staff, a really relaxed vibe, and the food is amazing.
