better than anticipated. grade: b
normally when eating a particular style of food, we seek out the restaurant whose chef and owner are from the same area as their dishes. not that a salvadorian making mexican food or a korean making japanese food wouldn't be good, but it won't be authentic. it'll be the same effect as what we receive from chinese and italian restaurants in the u.s.
having said that, two amigos laid out some very flavorful dishes. the chile relleno was wonderful, almost to the point of having too much cheese. the chicken burrito was very good, too.
combined with a nice atmosphere and good staff, two amigos was a pleasant surprise.
