amazing tasting desserts that also look beautiful and are reasonably priced. i love the cannolis and red velvet cheesecake.
i have yet to actually eat there(only ordering desserts to go), but from my experience, the service was pretty good. welcoming and friendly.

the food is pretty good, but the staff was not very friendly. make sure to do an early lunch because seating is limited and fills up quick during lunch.

excellent food, spectacular service. they do counter service with soups, sandwiches, salads, and quiche, as well as the namesake deserts, and all were delicious. try the hungarian mushroom soup! they were nice enough to give us table service as we had a handicapped person in our group who couldn't get to the counter.

i have been several times and it is always a winner!. i have been to truffles and tortes several times and never had a bad experience. the food is wonderful. their quiche, sandwiches, soups, etc.....very good. the desserts of course are amazing! it does tend to be very busy at lunchtime and you might have to wait for a table. but i've honestly never had the staff be anything but polite. anoka really needed a fun little spot like this. a great place to have lunch with your girlfriend or just coffee and dessert......

unfortunately, rude service. the treats are pretty and sweet, but the service left a sour taste in my mouth. this is a tiny shop that offers up fine desserts, coffee, and very simple fare. i felt that the staff was clearly not happy to be serving my party or the others in line at the counter before me. oh, and it was also "suggested" that i vacate my table when plenty of the tables were wide open! that is a first for me. unfortunate for t&t, pretty desserts and simple fare can be found in many places, and i cannot recommend any establishment that does not consider customer service a priority.

truffles & tortes anoka. the desserts were beautiful and tasty. the coffee was good. the prices were reasonable. the service was terrible. the lady behind the counter was short with all the customers even when being given compliments. i was there with a cousin i hadn't seen in a year between 10am and noon and we were asked to leave because they needed our table. there were 3 open tables and plenty of room for current customers. we weren't given an option to stay for lunch. i won't be spending my entertainment budget at this establishment.

too rude to last!. i've eaten here before, food is good deserts are wonderful. that being said, i stoped on sunday the 12 of december with my niece. the sign said that they would be open dec 12th (they don't usually do sun). the open sign was lit. we walked in the unlocked door. some lady sitting near the counter looked up at us and yelled closed! i said i'm sorry, the sign says open. again we were greeted with closed! you don't have the last torte in the world. i won't be back and that matter is closed!

mixed. fantastic desserts--love to stop in, pick some up and leave. tried to eat lunch there one day, but walked out before eating. the seating is not adequate to meet the demand. the person who took our order brought it to us as when we were still standing at the register with no options for seating....disaster

decadent deserts, plus. my sister and i happened upon this delightful shop on main street, downtown anoka during their lunch "rush". the little shop was packed!! we were lucky enough to get a table as another group left. the menu offers soups, salads, sandwhiches, quiches; however, it is the deserts that are absolutely "to die for"!!!
i ordered a decadent chocolate torte (triple chocolate) and it was so delicious, that i returned to the counter to order an entire "pie" to bring home and freeze. fabulous!!
people were waiting for our table as we departed. i would advise visiting when you have time to spare, or if you simply wish to pick up a delicious desert for supper. people will ask where you got it!!

more pros than cons. my husband and i came across this place by accident one day. we were looking for a different restaurant in that area and passed by this place and thought it looked interesting. we've eaten there/gotten food from there 3 times since. the shop is tastefully decorated, welcoming and comfy. they have a sandwich/soup/salad deal that it quite tasty, i'm very impressed with their food. we love their truffles, as well. we came back for a return trip to pick up a fruit tart that we served at our post-wedding brunch and that was so delicious, we highly recommend it. it was huge and had big fresh berries on it and everyone at our house that day loved it and raved about it.

the only thing i didn't like about this shop is their tiramisu. when i think of tiramisu, i think of layers of rum and espresso soaked lady fingers with flavors of chocolate and marscarpone cheese. i don't think of it as a cake. but truffles & tortes' version is just layers of pound cake with a couple of very thin layers of a frosting or cheese-based filling and the top is sprinkled with cocoa. i didn't take any coffee or rum and the cake wasn't moist, it was quite dry. i'll definitely return to this shop, but unfortunately, not for the tiramisu.

anoka's best dessert and lunch spot!. i have feasted at this beautiful restaurant for nearly a year now and continue to be delighted at the wonderful variety of hearty soups, sandwiches and quiches. their house salad is my personal favorite with fresh greens, raspberries, red onion and almonds with raspberry vinegarette dressing! paired with a sandwich or yummy quiche it is a steal for under $6. and i need to say the desserts so often heard of are actualy living up to their fame: tortes in every flavor, and individual desserts so satisfying you can easily take home half to enjoy later, plus so many more .the decor is cozy with warm brown and gold tones sending me into a relaxing state of tranquility from the moment i walk in. their staff have always greeted me with eager smiles and helped me decide by giving very well informed descriptions of each menu item i am curious about. this place has been a bright spot during 2009 and will continue to be a favorite for many in the coming new year as the word gets out about this quaint yet decadent dessert and lunch haven in wonderful downtown anoka.

disappointed. the treats are good, but the lunch food and service was bad. we were served 2 of our 3 lunches ordered. the third arrived late after a mix-up. it was quiche and cold.
we asked the counter person to heat it again. it was returned to our table as cold as it left. my soup was only luke-warm. the two of us finished our lunch. we asked for a credit for the person with the quiche. she was not able to eat her cold quiche. they said they could box it to go. we didn't come in for take-out food! the manager was very rude and did not resolve the situation appropriately. i would not recommend breakfast or lunch here. anoka location.
