toro's steakhouse

so i've heard so many people rave about this place and how good their food is. i went there today, i had the toros special meal. i had my steak medium rare and it was quite too chewy for me, didn't really taste nice. it was okay but it did "wow" me. i personally think this place is overrated. there's nothing quite special about it. they do give a big portion though, the price is around £14 per head. too expensive for standard food.

shockingly bad service! steak wasn't even a proper steak, was more just clumps of meat put together. waitress had the biggest chip on her shoulder and gave so much attitude, to told it off, it was the biggest waste of £80.00 i've ever spent.
went there after 7 years thinking they had improved, shod have listened to the bad reviews and avoided, never again!

great steak. i got the toro’s special and was not disappointed. it was served on a sizzler platter which was amazing and the portions were huge. the price was good and so was the atmosphere.

been here once. no redeeming features to entice me to return. overpriced. never had steak with pasta before. always have suspicions when a restaurant is unable to offer card payment. strange. had to go down the road to the cash point. didn't get a proper receipt as well. wonder where all that cash is going?. dodgy outfit with below average food. needs a visit from the inland revenue i think.

just bad overall for people with wheel chairs no disabled access.
lots of seating but the toilets are cramped also no disabled toilet and no windows

now the food was cooked in seconds not even cooked properly like the one in leicester were you could hear it sizzle and see the smoke
we also bought some chicken it wasn't just raw it was also out of date this was after we asked for a new one

 just a bad restaurant go to the one in leicester it is tones better

for steak lovers with a spicy zing this is the place to be at. toro's is a chain of restaurants and has branches in different cities like coventry, manchester, leicester,nottingham as well. place is cozy and dominated by asian steak lover people because of it's spicy flavor. we were 4 friends on a weekday evening and we reach pretty early too around 6:30 hence we got the nice window seating, place gets crowded around 8:00 and it's recommended to check for the table reservation in advance. it's really popular and for a reason. there are lots of options for steaks , sizzlers and grilled chicken. we ordered couple of toro's special, one lamb sizzler and one chicken sizzler. every sizzler comes with chips, grilled veggies and rice or pasta along with the steak of your choice and you also have choice of sauces to choose. if you want you could top your steak with fried eggs. most people struggle to finish the whole thing as it's quite heavy but really tasty too. they only accept cash payments.

would never go there again. steak comes out in couple of minutes ... makes you questioned if it's pre cooked ... secondly steak came out with blood leaking from it ... not usually noticeable because of the gravy already poured on top but this was a fair amount of blood after i asked for medium/well done. expressed my concern to the waiter ... took you food and brought out another fairly quickly. at the time i didn't realise but all he did was just poor more gravy over my steak to hide the blood. this resulted in me getting food poisoning! would never go there again and waste my money!

best steak i've had, we ordered 7 steaks, they came unbelievably fast and we're exactly as ordered. was pretty hard getting a waitress' attention.

food was o.k. although when being asked "how would you like your steak" i think it would be nice to actually get it how you wanted, as when asking for a t-bone steak medium rare i got it red and raw. the service is absolutely terrible, with the place practically empty food was brought to us 1 hour late with most of the staff wondering around the place doing nothing, the staff are the worst part of the dining experience. when telling them what was wrong they get moody and then talk to the other staff looking at customers like they are cursing them. i don't know how they are still there, just lucky to be on ladypool road.

places like this need to remember ppl are paying for the service as well not just food. although the food is good service is shit. take far too long to clean up tables,hence unnecessary waiting. had newborn with me, asked for a booth for privacy of breastfeeding.. it was empty and no one waiting for tables yet was refused because my food had already arrived at current table. had to leave to feed baby in car.. by the time i was back food was cold and booth was still empty. paid a hefty price for a meal i had to get packed due to lack of consideration.

go in with a smile come out with a smile been there twice know loved the service. food is lovely jubleey as well as the workers must go if you haven't won't regret it  :)

average food. average price. good atmosphere tho! more appealing to a younger crowd with a less refined palate. go for the toronto special steak with rice and chips not pasta.

first impressions nice and clean place. customer service is not the best ordered toros special with pasta ended up with rice instead. they don't serve tap water and charge £1.50 for a small bottle of water. food was oki the steak was nice.. have to park on the road no private parking. price is ok not cheap looking around £15 per head average. overall would go again but customer service needs to improve.

overpriced for wat u get... rice was over cooked so complained manager said there nothing they can do others also complained. . toilet was dirty too..

very poor customer service waited over 45mins for food then we still did not get what we ordered because they had run out.the food was not nice at all with a bitter taste and no point complaining you are not getting no discount an stubborn miserable manger who had a very bad attitude an we were asked to wait by the toilets.never coming back here again
