brilliantly sunny day that begged for a chilled pint. toners' beer garden was perfect for this. tables spread out at the back with two tv screens showing football matches and a buzzing crowd all ensured that the afternoon passed cheerfully!

great pub! lovely traditional bar up front where the guinness flows and the football's playing on the tvs. out back is one of the biggest beer gardens in dublin, mostly covered and well heated. the staff are lovely, and table service is always on hand. on a friday/saturday night the place is always packed, yet there's never an issue finding a spot (even if you do end up standing for a bit) never had a bad night in toners, so i suppose that says it all really.

lost the run of themselves with their flash new jacks ouut the back! that said i think they have managed to keep the original charm. pints still deliv=cious pints and the craic is always mighty!

great spot with a fab nooks and cranny's beer garden. pity there is no bar out in the back but bar service goes far. love the whiskey barrels throughout and the eclectic paraphernalia in the main bar. great mix of people here means its always bopping and makes for brilliant people watching!

toners has much going for it - a superb heated beer garden with attentive lounge staff, a highly traditional-style pub at the front, top-quality guinness, experienced pleasant bar staff, unpretentious clientele and a magnificent city centre location. the prices are reasonable for the area, with guinness currently an even fiver. (other drinks are available!)

this place always comes to mind when you think of old dublin pubs! i was here for the first time recently and can't recommend the smoking area enough! the have the mother of all heaters out there and despite it being november we were all
perfectly comfortable without our jackets! they also have lounge service so there's no need to wander inside for a drink! will definitely be back!

what can i say about toners? a classic pub that will outlive us all i'm sure. not much on offer here for food other than soup and sandwiches if you order ahead. the outdoor area always has a fantastic atmosphere and decent heating. the waiting staff come are usually good enough to your table which saves the hassle of going to the bar all the time as it tends to get very busy here after 9 each night.

great little bar with the added bonus of having an enormous beer garden out the back which is mostly sheltered. the only draw back being the trip from the beer graden to the bar if its busy but generally they have enough lounge staff on the floor taking orders so all good. the guinness was great and the place was buzzing.
