best margaritas ever!!!!!!!

food is fantastic, nothing bad on the menu.

service is always great.

atmosphere is festive, a bit loud if you don't like that sort of thing.

we had the fajita and shrimp tacos, tortilla soup, and chips with guacamole. although it was pretty busy after a braves game, we didn't have to wait to get seated. we used a booster seat until a high chair became available 30 minutes later for any of you little ones. the food and drinks were great! would definitely come back if we're in the area.

i'm picky...the first 5.0 i've given. service on point, food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was super chill! our server, who i sincerely regret forgetting her name, made phenomenal suggestions (try the thai basil margarita!!) and was so awesome when my 2 year old decided to steal one of her pens (and as a former server i know your pens are your life!). ordered the three amigos (guac/salsa/queso) with the most perfectly seasoned chips, fried pickles (i always order fried pickles whenever i see them on a menu and these are sincerely some of the best ever!), the hot mess- i can't brag about this one enough! (tater tots/pulled pork/amazing slaw/queso/bbq sauce in a skillet), and a mix of tacos that we are currently arguing over which one is the best!!! and obviously the margaritas are on point!

tin lizzy's is across the street from oakland cemetery, near six feet under.  a musician was playing in the bar while i was there, not bad for mid-afternoon.  i started off with the black bean soup, which is great comfort food.  i would put it in the same ballpark as the version i had at stone soup kitchen, although i would have to put stone soup's slightly higher in ranking.  i then had a soft taco.  tin lizzy's are considerably larger than those at taqueria del sol.  depending on your appetite, one may or may not be enough to make a meal.  my taco had a nice bite to it thanks to the peppers and the meat was very well prepared.  the taco was served on a whole wheat tortilla.  that's an interesting choice; i don't think that it made much difference to the taste or texture one way or the other. 0 comments: post a comment newer post older post

without a doubt, the worst dining experience ive ever had. slow wait staff with frowns that make you wonder if someone died! extremely rude and condesending waitress who was very inattentive. overpriced drinks that are poorly made with flat tonic. will not remove bad items from bill. food was cold and tasteless at best. from the vibe of this place...i will never return. douchebag owner sat at counter right by my table and never got involved. caveat emptor! go elsewhere!

1st- they do not have frozen drinks which i think is unacceptable for a latin restaurant. 2nd- they charge you 18% for take out orders. they say because someone has to stop what they are doing to bag your food.

awful and rude. our waitress was so condescending it became funny
first and last time for me and my friends for sure!
margs were straight mixer, and the tortilla chips had sugar on them? what do they put into their guar that it stays green for hours on end...? hmmmm

enjoyable. went last wed for dinner. i've never been to a mexican restaurant where you have to pay for chips and salsa, but ok. we started off with the chips and queso and guac; loved the spice on the chips and the queso and guac were both awesome. my son had the cbr quesadilla and i opted for the philly style; they were decent. it's close to home, so i'd go back...mostly for the margaritas and chips and guac.

happiest place on earth. i love this place. i like grant park better than the buckhead location because it's a lot bigger and the patio is awesome in the summer time. the drinks are the best, especially the prickly pear margarita, which they didn't have last time i was there. besides the place being hella loud, that's the only complaint i have. they're always out of something, but i guess that's expected because they're always so busy. the prices are great because you can get tacos, chips and salsa and drinks for around 30 bucks for 2 people.
