do not underestimate this casual dining restaurant/pub. i was pleasantly surprised with their food! we had jaco's pasta, (which is now my favourite dish) macaroni bolognese and a bacon and avo pizza. yum! we went on half price tuesday and what a bargain! it's a great vibe to go out with friends and friendly staff.

we will definitely be back!

excellent friendly atmosphere and service, probably one of the best bar come restaurant in pretoria. the food is fantastic for the typical bar and restaurant cuisine, one must try the chicken strips and or the pizzas. smoking and non-smoking is well separated with both being able to relax on the deck or inside.

decided to give thirst @ 28 degrees east a try. the place was packed (had to search for parking). a bit noisy at the craft exchange side, but all good. cocktails were ok, but i must compliment them on the ribs! it was tasty and well prepared. will go back for another portion of ribs.

this place impressed us hugely, because of the value for money specials! the food was super tasty and the portions are enormous. will eat there again any time.

been here for a monday evening event. was surprised how big the place is. good platters and good service. overall good value for money and plenty of specials to keep you coming back for more. decent place to visit if you are in the area.

this place has a very nice ambience and is reasonably priced! bar tenders are very friendly and always smiling! would love to go again sometime!

this place use to be a weekly favourite, decent food, good craft beer and okay wine selection. in the last month they manage to "loose" our booking at the craft exchange birthday, promise to get back and never did. waiters today again was poor brought me the wrong food and charged us for things we didn't order. very sad to see this place going down hill. i hope they fix it.

one of the best places to eat at in pretoria.
we always go for their specials, the staff is lovely, (sometimes just takes a while during peak hours).
we have never been disappointed and will always bring our support here

great sports pub vibe, love the waiters and management they always go out of their way to satisfy their customers.

pizza’s are terrific! you can also order raw pizza base to cook at home!

we were constantly looking for our waiter. he took at least half an hour between visits to our table and longer when we were looking to get the bill.

ribs special was pretty good though.

not the most fancies place, but the steak quality was just awesome.
me and my colleagues were amazed.
food wise i would rate 4 and overall 3.5 is fair!

i have only been a few times but i have never had a bad experience and would definitely go back.

thirst @ 28 degrees east is a popular venue in the east of pretoria.

they have much more to offer than just being a bar and the menu is quite comprehensive.

quite a variety of craft beers and gin are available.

they also have a non-smoking side which is totally separate from the rest. the decor is very interesting, neat and tidy.

just a pity that the smokers are allowed to take up seating right outside the door and you can smell the smoke inside. non-smokers therefore also do not have the possibility to sit outside.

we ordered a pizza and it was really good and the service friendly.

all round a good experience.

i absolutely love this place. the staff tend to know me by name because i come so often, i'm always greeted with excitement and a good old hug. the service is fast and the waiters always have a great attitude.

your drinks and food are always good, i've never been disappointed. the pricing is fantastic and i must say i enjoy your chicken strip basket - it's bigger than me and only costs r40! most places charge you r70 and give you about 6 nuggets - you place about 20 in the basket. i'm delighted with this!

thirst is a social sportsbar perfect for watching big games with friends. they have some good craft beer on offer and very friendly staff.

the food was average but still good and very affordable.
