the waverly is our go-to place for a great meal out.  food is amazing! would also highly recommend the georgia peach cocktail. we initially came here to celebrate new years as they had a special event, we haven't stopped coming back.

no clue what the rest of these reviewers are talking about. my partner and i recently went back to waverly a second straight night because of the food and service.

last night i enjoyed the waverly hamburger. it was cooked to perfection, with fresh ingredients. the fries were on point, as always, and the salad i had was crunchy, cold, and loaded!

my partner had the ribs and thoroughly enjoyed them with a side of sweet potato fries. highly recommended!

we also had some dry-rub wings to start which were excellent.

drinks were strong, waitress was incredibly accommodating and personable, and the environment is relaxed. i couldn't recommend it more.

we were eight adults on a friday night, after a round of golf. everyone enjoyed their meals, for the most part. fish and chips with fries were great, as was my hamburger.  i particularly liked the brioche bun and all the fixings. the meat was also very tender. i took a side order of salad rather than fries and it was fresh but lacked tastiness. those who chose the ribs thought they could have been more tender and they thought the sauce was too sweet for them, but they acknowledged that it was different and interesting. the beet salad was somewhat disappointing, also lacking flavour.  the service was very good, the waitress cheerful throughout.  we would return, but we would recommend a change in decor by eliminating the half-circle seating booths. we encourage other patrons to support  local business rather than only brand names.

restaurant that tries to be hip but fails miserably.

the décor. the decor seems nice at first glance. but then you see the whole wall pasted with colonial pictures of champlain and cartier. there is even a map/wallpaper displaying northern africa as "barbaria". although it is true that these were the perceptions in the 1600's waverley does nothing to change those and actually celebrates them by displaying a full wall of it. the seats are too soft and the edge of the banquette and chairs dig in the back of your thighs.

the food. most disappointing. i ordered the burger on special and it was messy. chefs need to realize that brioche is a soft bread and most of the time doesn't hold a fatty burger patty. the burger was good but didn't stay together. who puts pickles slices on top of the burger? you put a whole pickle on top, but not slices. the fries that came with the burger were supposed to be seasoned but they tasted like nothing. i asked for salt and ketchup and i was made to feel that i shouldn't since they had been seasoned. i got a little cup of ketchup for myself only. nothing for my wife who had fries also with her tilapia fish and chips, which was tasteless. i ordered a rolling rocks beer and, although i should have known since it's an american beer, it tasted more watery than a coors light. my wife had the tilapia fish and chips, which she qualified as okay. the tartar sauce tasted like mayo and so did the weird-looking coleslaw that came with it.

the service. we were served by some kind of a hipster who showed off his arm tattoos without introducing himself. he wasn't very friendly and he made me feel like i wasn't welcome. i asked for extra napkins when i ordered, which he called "serviettes". i know what napkins are in french thank you very much, my first language is french. those "serviettes" were nothing more than square bar napkins. the server really didn't get us and didn't engage with us and only asked us if we wanted anything when we were downing our drinks to try to get out of there.

as much as the waitress tried to make us happy, the food here is shyte! steak tartar served as ground beef in a ball that resembles an uncooked meatball. the fish plate was served with spaghetti squash and chopped grape tomatoes; a weird combination. the salad was just ok. my friend's main courses were also terrible. the waitress kept asking us about how to improve the menu - the dishes - i wanted to suggest they get someone in the kitchen that knows what they're doing. and the bill came to $250.00! stay away!

this is still relatively a new place here in orleans. we arrived before the busy time hit. our food came out very promptly. the server was very friendly. our mussels were fine but the broth was salty. the black and blue burger was great. it was juicy and flavorful and seasoned nicely. we felt a bit rushed though but i think i would still go back to this establishment.

great food, especially the burger and lobster mac and cheese. trendy location, dillon behind the bar is awesome. it's a bit hidden behind the lcbo near trim but i go at least once per week and i am never disappointed.

went here for a late lunch and we loved everything we had! i had the croquettes and the beet salad, both were absolutely amazing! my husband had one of the huge, house-made burgers on house-made buns and said it was one of the best he had ever had (don't recall the name, but it had blue cheese and bacon and looked fabulous). the portion sizes were also very generous, for the app, salad and burger, noone was leaving hungry! we both had mixed drinks that our server recommended (found out later in the meal our server was the bar manager) and they were delicious too. not the cheapest place to go (especially for the drinks), but the ambiance and the food were both great (especially for orleans!) and i will be going back soon!

it's about time orleans gets a place like this: trendy, different, and tasty. we have been here several times for breakfast and dinner. service is always fantastic. the menu is filled with a variety of items not normally found in regular pubs or bars. i don't understand why the zomato score is so low; it should be much higher.

rain water trickling in under the doorway aside, the food here is outstanding! beet salad was fabulous & we had it with grilled chicken, which was cooked to perfection. our friends ordered the breakfast & the plates were huge... definitely worth the prices they charge, unlike most places.
nice dinner menu too.. can't wait to try it. thanx for coming east waverley!!

a great find in orleans, the waverly is stylishly decorated inside and the menu is filled with interesting options. sadly the savory tart i ordered was overcooked with burnt pastry. the other dishes that did arrive we spot on, and i would certainly be eager to give this place another go.

this restaurant is best for date nights or even a group of friends as there are large booth seats.
