awesome !. me and my husband reserved a dinner for two last night ! we love the sea food, oysters was the best! nice place, great and quick service! we enjoyed and will be back again! :)

pleasantly surprised. really great food, including the she crab soup, oysters, cheese plate, lamb. well done. nice staff. we'll definitely be back. addendum: second visit was just as good as the first. awesome fish and chips, and perfectly cooked and tasty strip steak sandwich. love the oysters rockefeller and margatina too! nice staff, although our waiter was a bit amateurish. addendum: waiters continue to be sub par on about half the visits. weird, considering the quality of the kitchen.

a perfect location for a date night - a friendly host, creative culinary combinations and quality ingredients.  service could have been better, and the decor needs to be updated, but the menu remains outstanding.  the sausage crostinis are mouthwatering, with local italian sausage, fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, basil pesto and house marinara.  tulip serves my favorite pork chop in lexington (grilled, house brined and marinated, mango and papaya chutney, purple peruvian potatoes and smoked cauliflower) - juicy, tender pork chop that is seared, which is perfectly complimented by the chutney.  another positive experience at tulip!

everything i have ever eaten here is delicious! i especially love the spinach and warm goat cheese salad. will continue to go back to try more!

one of the best dinners i can remember in a long time. it was an anniversary celebration and couldn't have been better. started off with grilled oysters. average sized but delicious! (and i'm not an oyster fan!) french onion soup was well flavored and good as well. i had jalapeno stuffed pacific shrimp wrapped in bacon (normally an appetizer) but just right as my main course. also tried chicken provencal fresh thyme infused pappardelle tossed in a rosemary yogurt cream, kalamata olives, roasted bell peppers, tomatoes, with a buttermilk pan fried chicken breast over the top. was elegant but not over-done. an excellent choice! we ended with twin brulee.  one chocolate and one regular creme brulee. great eating adventure.

loved this restaurant very romantic and quiet. had my birthday here in november. had blue crap dip and she crab soup. i love anything crab except crab cakes. beautifully done and obsessed with the crab stuff now. steak was on point cooked very well. beautiful presentation. i even got a free chocolate mousse for my birthday present with a candle in it to blow out as a surprise it was very sweet of them! everything was good ! yum highly recommend ! dinner for two was 80.00 also had wine ... not a $$$$ price point should be $$$

great food. wonderful food , slow service. we were seated inside and watched our drink orders go out to the patio and back in again to us. same with our dinner. the food was great but service took way too long .

dinner 6pm. i have been trying to go for years. but the pricing scared everyone away that i know. i really do not care about the cost only the food. so i made tonight my night. three appetizers and a main. water only, raw oysters were beautiful, large and perfect. pomme fritz were edible and just ok. fried oysters were beautifully presented but had so much breading i could not taste anything but fried greasy bread i peeled off the covering. there was so little oyster and it had zero taste. main ravioli, chef choice. gorgonzola. the worst thing i ever tried to eat!!! ask for check. paid and left. no sign of management

experience dining. my husband and i had dinner at the tulip on wed. feb. 19.
two comments for your consideration.

1. the food was outstanding, perhaps the best in lexington.
2. the noise level was outrageous, spoiling any experience of
fine dining and enjoyment. that being said, we will not return or
recommend to friends or family.

my boyfriend and i just got home from a fabulous date night at the tulip tonight. our reservation (highly recommended) was through open table and went smoothly. it was very busy this evening but even with all the action going on we still enjoyed the experiance. we each ordered a specialty cocktail which we both really liked. we split a cup of the soup of the day, a creamy asparagus bisque that was delicious! i had the chef ravioli and he the fish and chips. we both found our meals extremely satisfying and filling. our server was so genuinely welcoming and warm along with the other staff. we will definitely return!

best menu in lexigton hands down. fantastic friendly staff here and a good place to be. my wife loves their ravioli; i love the short ribs. becoming the best in lexington.

wonderful evening. we went there dec 20th for our anniversary. the service was outstanding, the food was amazing (the she crab soup was tied with the best i've tasted on the east coast. only nutters crab bisque located in newark delaware compares). i made reservations on line and added special instructions asking the chef for a surprise desert and he came through wonderfully! we will be back again and i highly recommend the tulip bistro!!

excellent. i've eaten at almost every place in lexington and around the area. one of, if not the best around. love the food and service. very top notch.
