laid back. took my mother here for mother's day. sat on the covered patio. mega laid back atmosphere and great wine/ food combos

great place to stop by after work for a drink with coworkers or clients. love the atmosphere. wait staff and bartenders are great.

the tasting room (uptown park) is a wonderful place, except . . .
 

the entire parking lot is coned off for valet . . . if you want to park your car yourself, it's not an option (except for a few spots out front)!  when i asked a manager about that, he said that the valet company is a separate entity from the tasting room.  either a very lame response, or they need to get some control over valet because it's part of the overall "customer experience".
 

i chose to sit on the patio with a friend.  after about 15 minutes, i ended up going inside to get served at the bar.  they supposedly have staff that covers the patio, but the only ones i saw were clearing tables.
 

very disappointed with the experience at this location.

let’s get right into it - the tasting room in uptown park gets a huge round of applause for their new oyster bar! first, it’s located in a great spot in the restaurant, smack dab in the middle of all the action (for those that are familiar with the location it used to be the pizza bar). on to the whoo hoo moment - the oyster bar has it’s own bar area where you can order cocktails, wine or champagne! many will not understand why this is not only a whoo-hoo moment but a “wait what” moment. the tasting room at this location only served wine and having a cocktail program is brand new, so this along with the oyster bar is a huge deal. now that you have the deets about the spot let’s talk about the oysters...

i celebrated my 37th birthday here and had a great experience!! there were about 20 people in my party and we had a private room. our waiter was very patient and very organized, he got everyone's order correct. the only thing that i did not like was that we brought in an outside birthday cake and they charged us a cake cutting fee of $2 per person.

this restaurants is famous for its wine and italian food .. over the weekend it's packed so book a table because there is live music ..
you got wines from $30 to $1000 ..
try there pizza and cheese platter is excellent with the wine .. service is really prompt . you got outside deck which is pleasant in the evening ..

this is a good happy hour or hang out and chill place. they have a pretty extensive outdoor patio area., but the inside can be small and crowded and loud i've often seen live music in the evenings. of course the wine selection is phenomenal. recently i had several food items as well that were pretty good. the flatbreads complemented the wine well, especially since i wasn't paying for any of it. they have a cheese plate too that really highlights whatever wine you are enjoying.

awesome happy hour - the place to see and be seen in uptown!  you should definitely bring your ferrari because everyone else does.  the happy hour food menu is awesome and the brushetta is my favorite anywhere because they put mushrooms on it!  the wine by the glass listing changes all the time and there's always lots of red and white options.  you can buy a bottle of wine and they'll open it for you to enjoy!  awesome outdoor patio and lots of parking - valet included!

the kitchen of the tasting room far surpassed my expectations. instead of an afterthought created to sell more alcohol, it is a central part of the experience at this uptown spot. even non-drinkers should check it out, and that's a rare recommendation for a bar. my only regret was that i didn't have the chance to discover more of the delicious flavors that were no doubt hiding somewhere in the room.

the wine was great and the staff was very helpful. it is a great place for happy hour; however i wouldnot recommend the food. it was very expensive and came in very very small portions...

great wine. they had great wine selections and the staff was very helpful! food was great too however, you do have to go up to the counter and order. pizza was really tasty!
