the sakley's

overhyped place. half of the menu is not available, all day breakfast is not available at 12pm. if you can't serve something why not remove it from the menu.

walked in and ordered thai green curry, rice and bbq chicken pizza. the pizza was delicious but i have a problem with the portion size. thai green curry was sad.

also ordered desserts for takeaway. blueberry cheesecake, oreo cheese cake, ny cheese cake, tiramisu, lemon tart. the cheesecakes were nothing like cheese cake. tiramisu was disappointing.

the food is no where near to the exorbitant price they charge. won't recommend.

the brownie was delicious! the location is accessible. the ambience is warm and hospitable. a must visit place in nainital.

the place was filthy to start with as nobody cared to clean the empty tables. the chilli cheese toast probably destroyed our stomach's lining, that chilli. the baked veg did not have a pinch of seasoning. i can't point a thing to cherish apart from the tomato ginger soup, even that suffered from a ginger overdose. maybe their specialty is dessert but by the end of this meal, i wasn't feeling brave.

overhyped overhyped.. tasteless food and unhygienic. avoid this place. they serve in uncleaned plates.

this place is located on mall road, although you have to look for it a little harder. it is tucked away from the main hustle bustle. but when you find it, the english wooden interior do seem a little different and warm.
the exceptional review of their banana toffee pie and lemon tart have reached the streets of delhi. and trust me, they are worth the travel.
i did only taste only their pastries (everything in their menu). and they are heavenly. everything from their banana toffee pie to their chocolate eclair, brownie, chocolate tart, coffee walnut cake, lemon pie.
the eclair did not taste so good. the rest were good whereas the best was banana toffee pie and lemon tart which the place is famous for.
the staff is really sweet and patient. the place is highly hygienic. the price are very communal and affordable. definitely worth the visit while in nainital.

i was on a family trip so gave a thought to try it’s chocotruffle as it’s a well known bakery in nainital & i must say that was delicious & fresh

had a good time at sakleys again! this place never disappoints.

i tried :

1) capsicum onion pizza
2) red sauce pasta
3) lemon soda
4) grilled veg sandwich

and in deserts :

1) apple pie
2) chocolate truffle with ice cream

everything was excellent taste wise. especially the pasta and the deserts.
one thing that bugged was the quantity served a/c to the price mentioned.. which was less.
service was good! and the place was cute and neat :)

went exclusively for desserts and loved everything we tried.
had warm chocolate truffle pasty(amazing), cute little chocolate ganache cake with raspberry filling(loved it), the chocolate eclair was okayish, the banoffee toffee pie was delicious and the warm robust apple pie was the definite best from the lot.
took apple pie for takeaway too and still tasted the same despite odd refrigeration and long duration.
loved it. one of the best. definitely worth the price.

some options are good and some worst:
1. cappuccino: 1/10; tried it, but had a terrible taste. small shops on mall road serve better than them. so won't recommend this to anyone.
2. mix veg patty: 7/10; nice option can try.
3. brownie with ice cream: 10/10: must try as i just loved it.

sakleys means nostalgia for everyone who grew up in nainital. after a few decades also their pastries are still the best with amazing coffee to go with. try the lemon tarts, chocolate eclairs and the best balckforest pastry in the world. all this for a fraction of the price we would pay elsewhere. sakleys is legendary and a trip to nainital is incomplete without a visit to this cafe

pretty place, amazing food, bit on higher side but value for money. amazing chef spcl chicken soup... brilliant chicken pepper steak sizzler.
surely will visit every time i am coming to nainital.

the place has a classic english decor with beautiful vibes.
no doubt the cafe offers the 'authentic' swiss taste. you can actually feel the 'less preservatives' version of desserts.
however, the dishes are a bit overpriced.

the thing with high expectations is it's difficult to meet them. thankfully, that's not a problem sakley's faces as it excels and lives up to its well deserved reputation.

on a break in nainital, we finally ended up here for the white sauce pasta for our kids. the daughter enjoyed the mozzarella pizza and ice tea, while the wife liked the egg sandwich. my hot and sour soup and chilly paneer also ticked all the right boxes.

worth visiting whenever you're in town.
