i really enjoyed dining here, especially the community style of dining and the excellent drinks. the cocktails are actually really delicious. i came to visit this place on the recommendation from a regular. i have to confess how much i enjoyed my experience. the only downside was that the chorizo was less spicy than i would have liked. the poached egg was delicious, and made up for it. they were gladly able to seat us without reservation.

the service was horrible and the staff was not all accommodating when considered that we had booked a table for four and the party that arrived for the meal consisted of five people. the service was lacking on many occasions and we accidentally overpaid the bill which the restaurant authorities didn't point out until one of us realised our mistake.

i went to this place with my work colleagues and although we did not have a reservation, they arranged a table for us. the service here was extremely slow and that is the only area they really need to work upon. after a quick glance at their menu, we all ordered the duck along with few sides and hands down we all loved it. it was appealing and appetizing. the prices were also reasonable. worth a visit!

from pre work breakfast cravings to post work dinner and drinks, this place is magical at point of the day. one should however, make sure that they order the short ribs from the menu as they are sumptuous. the hash browns are of top notch quality as well i would be going back to this place more often than ever thanks to the newly found love for there chorizos!

it is a shame ,when the restaurants can not maintain their standards and this one goes downhill from its once supreme service. this staff here is shockingly inattentive about the orders and the food was returned several times during my last visit here only to be served back the same! the manager was unapologetic enough to refuse to take them off our bills citing the reason that were they returned again ,they would have been perfect.
i can not believe i once recommended this place!

i really liked the ambiance of this place.. the interiors were great and same goes for the furnishing sector.
the service was also good it did not felt like that this place just opened. the waiters were extremely friendly and on the same part they were not obstructive at all.
the food was also okay.
i would love to visit this place again.

i came here with a few friends to have coffee, and loved the experience. the food and drinks were amazing, and i especially liked the iced chocolate. all the entrees were generously rich and creamy, and although some were too rich for my taste, i cannot fault any of it. the staff could have been warmer, and they had quickly run out of a lot of stuff.

i only keep coming back to this place for their buttermilk pancakes. perfectly crisped and fluffy topped with whipped vanilla cream along with few strawberries on the side. the waffles are big enough to fulfill your desire. other waffles look good too but this is my staple order all the time. worth a visit!

i can’t remember where i read such good things about the brunch at the riding house café that i put it on my list, but i kind of wish i hadn’t bothered.
not that it isn’t a nice set of surroundings to eat in with its rustic/deco furnishings. considering we just about made it in, and had to sit at the bar, plenty of people clearly really like it. but i was underwhelmed. both alison and i ordered the lobster benedict, which sounded gloriously indulgent. instead, on two dry, unbuttered muffins were a few flaky, dryish bits of lobster, two smallish poached eggs and some hollandaise. i don’t often say this about lobster but – ‘meh’. it was alright. not the decadence that you expect when you order lobster. and not cheap either, two eggs were £16!! i had also ordered some mashed potatoes with olive oil. tasty enough but strangely dry considering the amount of oil it arrived in.

my friend's chicory salad was nice and fresh though, and i really enjoyed my bloody mary. she had a prosecco which doesn’t require much remarking upon except to say that our bartender forgot to bring it to her and we had to remind him.

i fear we have been spoiled for brunch places of late with the likes of 100 hoxton, l'entrepot, the ginger pig and caravan, all of which i'd return to in a heartbeat.

i visited this place with a few business partners and had been quite impressed with the positive reviews we had seen of this place. we reserved a seat of six people and it took about twenty minutes before being served anything at all. however, they seemed to be confused about our reservation. the starter we ordered was very good but the lamb was ridiculous. everything else after that was very bad. the service was poor, slow and not attentive at all. the staff was also quite rude. this place is not recommended.

the ambience of this place was worth a mention. it was done up rather well. there was a classy and trendy air about this restaurant. this place has some great food, quite akin to a michelin start territory and most of all it was reasonably priced. the service was commendable too with attentive, warm and friendly staff.
i highly recommend this place!

the restaurant was jam packed and due to this the staff turned out to be distracted and tired.
in my opinion, the portion size was pretty small compared to the price charged. the fish and chips was disappointing however i would recommend trying the mackerel which was quite flavorsome.

the riding house café is one of the west end worst kept breakfast secrets. you will find it on most of the lists for “top brunches in london”, so i thought it was high time that i tested it out!

located north of busy oxford street, on the corner of great titchfield street and little titchfield street, don’t expect a safe haven from the crowds because when we arrived at about 11am on saturday, it was packed! in fact, we booked a table a couple of weeks in advance (for 6), in order to get in.

the décor is interesting; a mix of classic french brasserie and modern distressed panelling. rickety old chairs sit alongside plush dining chairs (i was pleased we had a table with the comfy looking sort!). it is heavily stylized, everything has been thought about. even the dyson hand dryer in the toilets is cased in a beaten metal, to keep the theme running throughout. the service was good; relaxed and not rushed, despite it being very busy. the coffee was strong and hot, the way it should be.

the breakfast menu is extensive, from kedgeree to pancakes, but the most importantly includes “the full and proper breakfast” (£10.50). and what that means is two fried eggs, on white toast, a sausage, streaky bacon, black pudding, mushroom, tomato and baked beans. nicely presented, on a plate that was basically a ceramic frying pan, all the ingredients are there to make this a top fry-up. and in parts it was, the black pudding was delicious, slightly laced with chilli, it was just a shame there was so little of it on the plate. the bacon and eggs were fine, without being outstanding. it was great to have a breakfast with beans on, but why i only got a thimble full is beyond me. the sausage wasn’t really up to scratch; it was quite dry as if it had been sitting about for a while and tasted rather bland.

my experience at this place was not that great. the food is highly priced, and is not at all worth the price of the dishes. the service is extremely bad here, as we had to wait for over 3 hours to be served a main dish and dessert. the staff is not attentive or friendly. i would definitely not recommend this place.
