i had a dinner and breakfast here. both were very satisfying with an imaginative evening menu and a wide choice at breakfast.

i used their three course option which was reasonably priced and had a varied range of choices. many of the ingredients appeared to be locally sourced, the cooked breakfast black pudding, etc being particularly tasty.

absolutely recommended.

great service and good food. i had the £9.95 lunch with goats cheese starter (very nice) and a toastie with chips. i was too stuffed for pudding! my mum went off the set menu and had haggis for starter (looked like a big portion) and fish and chips (again a big portion). the service was great much better than most of the places i've eaten in glasgow. i'd go back and i am pretty fussy!

fabulous food - relaxing setting.. if you are looking for traditional scottish food within a relaxing environment then there is simply no better place than the pipers' tryst restaurant.

the restaurant itself is small and cosy but the furnishing gives it a contemporary edge so it does not feel stuffy. the menu consisted of a variety of scottish dishes which are sure to tempt everybody at your table. the ingredients are fresh and beautifully prepared to create exciting meals. there are also plentiful options for vegetarians or other dietary requirements.

the staff were very welcoming and we were shown to our table straight away and our jackets taken for us. the two waiters on service made our experience feel special and made us very welcome. our waiter was able to recommend a fabulous wine to go with our fabulous meal and we enjoyed a lovely relaxing evening.

highly recommended.

not if your hungry. went to pipers tryst for their advertised cheap lunch (£9.95 for 2 courses) and thats what we got.
menu consisted of 3 starters and 3 main courses. i had the risotto starter which consisted of a tasteless 2 spoonfuls of risotto rice with a few peas and shaved parmesan thrown in.
the other 2 starters of carrot and coriander soup and rollmop herring were declared as fine.
the main course choice consisted of the following, haggis neeps and tatties, which was served as a main course but was exactly what other diners, at the next table (a la carte) were receiving as a starter, crab and chilli spaghetti, tasty, but probably no more than a handful of spaghetti looking lonely in the centre of the plate and in all only a few mouthfuls, and a vegetarian haggis option which was also nice.
i said at the start all we wanted was a cheap lunch, and although the food was in general tasty, the portion sizes even at £9.95 for 2 courses was appalling and left us with the feeling we had been ripped off and very definately still hungry.
