delightful dining experience as light from the courtyard windows illuminated cuisine brought to the table. thanks to tiffany for the wonderful service and accomodating my specific time requirements. nice location for a birthday lunch or try duane's for dinner.

blue linen table cloth on my lap and coffee with cream was the prelude to pan seared salmon. rolls were tasty and thanks for making "umbrella room" on the table. thanks to manager renee stroud for accomodating the change (given my busy schedule).

pan seared salmon imparted a full mouth velvety texture---try it. thanks to the staff, epic architecture and views of the courtyard while dining. did not try the dessert here, but may in the future. full afternoon tea is offered with its sweet/savory selections worth trying.

we've had really good dinners here in the past, but breakfast is always a wildcard. i had the eggs benedict, which, if you're a follower of the blog, you know i have pretty exacting standards for.  the hollandaise sauce tasted kinda bland at first, but when combined with the eggs, canadian bacon and english muffins, the overall flavor was really spicy and wonderful.  the muffins were absolutely perfect, clearly well buttered and crisped on the griddle.

the mission inn-presidential lounge. this place had its beginnings as a two-story adobe guest house in 1876. i went here when i was in the a wedding for my friend. this place was beautiful! the architecture was amazing. we went to have a snack at the presidential lounge which formerly served as a guest room for president theodore roosevelt and the wedding location for richard & pat nixon. i remember thinking the food there was good. but what i think blew me away was the atmosphere. it would definitely be a great place to get a dessert and take a stroll around the hotel. you must check it out.
