excellent all around. we were looking for a place to eat breakfast or lunch in benton harbor and the mason jar cafe sounded too good to be true. well, it lives up to all the hype. all the tables were busy when we came in, so we had to wait about 15 minutes. but, we were just in front of where the servers picked up the food from the kitchen. the food looked and smelled wonderful. we could also watch everyone work carefully and they seemed to be proud of their work. once seated we ordered drinks and then studied the menu. lots of choices. we both decided on breakfast, my wife went for the stuffed french toast and i had the full buttermilk pancakes. we both decided on the jalapeno sausage as a side. i had coffee. the coffee was very good and the food was excellent. we could tell they made as much as possible from scratch, the pancakes were unique. our service was also excellent. the decor is funky, fun and bright. if we were locals, we would be regular customers.
