the local kitchen deliver to offices in our area and one day we decided to order some burgers. well i can safely say they delivered the best burger i have ever eaten. it was a blue cheese and bacon burger. the fries were mouth-wateringly good and the burger itself was huge and absolutely delicious. i cannot wait to get another burger from them. really really delicious. for the best burger i've ever had- and i've had a lot of burgers, i just have to rate a 5! well done guys!

love this place. i'm never disappointed with here. best veg burgers ever. the chilli sauce is definitely one of the most flavorful ive had.

sunday morning after a night out and a great breakfast is all i need.
was in the fourways/ brynston area and genuinely there we are spoilt for choice so i went for the local kitchen co to try something new.

such a small hidden gem in a complex which is not properly displayed but hey finally found it.

service was good, waitress name was happiness and she did a good job.

now to the important stuff: the food!

ok for drinks i had a chai tea: wow i was amazed by the size of that thing but it definately didn't taste like chai tea haha like a hot chocolate with a hit of chai (disappointing)
my friend had a smoothie: strawberry: you could taste that it's 100% fruit but it was so sweet we ended up diluting it with water.

i ordered the scrambled egg with salmon on ciabatta bread. mmmmm to my disappointment my eggs were a bit too soggy resulting in the bread being soggy. i was expecting to get raw salmon on the side but they had included it in the eggs and i don't like cooked salmon so it kind of ruined it for me.

my friend had a huge breakfast forgot it's name. no where in the description does it say all the invnredients will be put into a sandwich well to our surprise it was like that. her chips tasted like heavily friend chips, not anything good really but overall it was ok.

on the side. the manager who is black went to each and every table in the restaurant in including those that came after us to check out how their service and meals where and he didn't bother to come to us in the whole 2 hours we where there. bear in mind we are black so this was weird for us but anyway it's their loss not ours!!!!

the local kitchen has not been open for too long but they are making their mark with friendly service, quick delivery and delicious food. one day at the office we decided to get some lunch from them and to get it delivered. its free delivery if you are within 5kms of them. the food came quickly and when you open up the brown bag you were presented with a lovely eco-friendly recycled box wrapped all neatly in their branding. you can see that they take in pride in what they offer. the food is really delicious and you get a very well sized portion. there burger is too big, which is good. there toasties are also perfectly done. they have a great area if you wish to dine there. they also offer platter and cocktail party catering, you get free delivery within 15kms radius for platter delivery. they are also a venue. definitely go check them out and try some of their food!

for a lunchtime option especially if you are working in the area i find the atmosphere chilled and friendly. the menu is full of fun stuff and portions are generous. unfortunately they are not open in the evenings which limits ones time to go there. if you feel like something spicy go ahead and try the kamikaze wrap! its awesome. i have had several meals there and they always delivery in terms of great food and consistent quality

this place by far has the best burgers i have eaten...and i have had my fair share of burgers! on my first visit i was spoiled for choice by the different burger options and opted for the 3 style sliders. i loved every morsel and immediately knew that my favourite burger was the "creamy jalepeno". i am not a big fan of fruit included in food but the julienne apples in the homemade coleslaw that supported the burger as a side was extremely tasty, fresh and crunchy.  it is a nice quaint place with a relaxed atmosphere where you don't feel rushed. the staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming.

the pulled pork is probably the best i have tasted. had the pulled pork sarmie with the blue cheese coleslaw and it was very tasty. friendly staff and good service. a real gem hidden away in bryanston.

great for a quick lunch. pulled pork is delicious! enjoy their open sandwiches and fresh ingredients. haven't actually had a burger yet, apparently i should...

this is my favorite breakfast spot in joburg. great coffee and an excellent "brekkie" menu. they do a pretty mean lunch as well with a some interesting pizzas and burgers. the space is intimate with a contemporary but warm decor, the outside seating area is great when the weather allows. service is good and the staff are friendly.

i have ordered from the local kitchen twice. i have had their bbq wings and berry blaze smoothie. the flavours of the wings were really amazing and they were really well cooked. the smoothie was also nice and affordable. i like that they have free delivery in the bryanston area. will order from them again soon!

great breakfast - wonderfully prepared, fresh and tasty. service was great. would definitely recommend for a great breakfast/brunch option.

will not visit again since they have stopped using fresh potato fries and now serving synthetic frozen stuff

this place is a gem! great food and attentive staff. i’ve only ever had breakfast and lunches here but every time it has been really good. the owner is always around and you can see the difference that makes!
