details, details..... great concept, and i really like the new location centrally located to residential/commercial pensacola. there is great need for a neighborhood breakfast/happy hour that is offers something different. i dropped in for happy hour and liked the weekday vibe of college students, military and a table of people having a birthday dinner. so, the concept can serve many moods. the place is bright and modern.
the improvements i would suggest, as a customer who would never attempt to work in a restaurant let alone open one, are basically to pay attention to details. the food is good, but not good enough to cut corners. for instance, i ordered a frittata that tasted good, but was dry and leathery. sorry, no excuses. if you are going to serve brunch you have to know how to cook and hold egg dishes or move on to something else. the belgian waffle with berry compote was sad. it looked like something you would take out of the frozen food section and warm in a toaster. staff two waitresses, and tell them not to try to clear tables quickly unless it is really busy. lots of open tables means let the customers finish their food before you clear. don't ever ask a customer if they are still "working" on their food. i am optimistic that leisure club will be around for a while, they seem to really have good intentions. just don't let the details slide...
