we went here sunday last for dinner and it most certainly didn't disappoint. i had been here before for brunch after a nice hike in howth and it was simply delicious.
the house is a gorgeous small restaurant. the service is excellent and extremely attentive. it's a busy restaurant with a lovely ambience. there's live music at times and beautiful art work displayed on the walls.
we ordered from the a la carte menu. for a sharing starter, two mains, two desserts, two glasses of wine and two coffees the bill came to €82 which i thought was quite good considering the quality of everything.
the food was extremely fresh and everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty. we shared an antipasto plate for starter with chicken terrine, charcuterie meats, a goats cheese and risotto ball, pickled cucumber and cabbage, melba toasts and crab meat. it was delicious and perfect for sharing. for main then i had sea bass with a hollandaise and pomegranate sauce served with garlic baby potatoes . the fish was amazing and cooked perfectly. my friend had chicken with butternut squash purée, jus and a roast potato. once again, delicious. for dessert we had a chocolate, raspberry and walnut brownie and a white chocolate cheesecake with a plum compote.. they were so delicious. the wine and coffee were also fantastic.
i highly recommend the house. a perfect treat.
