best ribs ever!!!! we are from pretoria and not even in a big city we could find ribs like these! we definitely be back, and recommend to others!!

growing up in the 80’s there was something special about the ribs we got in sa. when you get out of your car and walk towards the modest facade (be careful at night you cannot see the sign) of grumpy griller you can already smell that steak house smell of the 80’s. the ribs were spectacular. owner & chef are definitely not grumpy and service is great! a must try if you are ever in george.

the food was amazing! my steak was cooked to perfection! the restaurant had a great vibe, we really enjoyed it! will definitely be going there again!

best steak you'll get. just try it once and you'll come back regularly. even my pizza liking family enjoy the steak at grumpy(smiley) griller.

great steak. great people and fantastic steak. new management makes a difference. enjoyed good conversation with new management people . priced very good and very good food. very centrally located

hands down one of my favorite restaurants in george! its unique because they only serve steak, egg and chips. the meat is grilled to perfection every time. the vibe is super chilled and laid back. highly recommended!

if you in george then make sure you have a steak here.. even if steak isn't your vibe you won't be disappointed, martin is your man to make sure the service also won't disappoint either.. hidden gem on the garden route

the grumpy griller has by far the best tasting steaks in george. it has a great atmosphere and is really a hidden gem. i'll definitely be back for more.

if you are ever in the southern cape area you have to try this steakhouse!! the steaks are made to absolute perfection according to individual preference. not only is it very warm, intimate and very nicely priced but the owner, martin, is a very friendly and welcoming host! even my wife, who is not a steak lover, finished every single bite of her succulent rump! definitely a must if you are ever this side of the world! keep calm and be grumpy..?!
