astonishing!. to put it simply, for a new place, they really got it going on. every now and then a new restaurant opens up, and they go through the hardest time of their lives. most of them don't leave an impression on people and close within weeks. its still early to say where the good fork will end up, but the way it's going now, i can safely say, up! the food is awesome, nothing out of this world crazy, but it has that home cooked 'your mom just made this' feel. i can't ask for anything more. i came with my husband, three visits now, and we've been to brunch twice and one dinner. i need more dinner, that rib braise with the parsnip puree still lingers in my mouth. if i could drink that sauce, i would. their burgers are just heavenly. simple, with subtle hints of remoulade, nothing to kill your tastebuds, but make them want more. i want to bring more friends, not to promote, but so i can find excuses to go there. if i could criticize one thing, it would probably be that they need to buy out the bloor-jane restaurant beside them. that place is an eye sore compared to here. i really hope they stay in business! coming back for sure, xo.
