a pre and post thomas keller experience. we enjoyed the french laundry when sally and don schmitt owned and operated the restaurant. i still treasure the photos of me and sally in the kitchen as she prepared the baked apple dessert. me and my guests also enjoyed the french laundry under the care and direction of thomas keller. i assembled the menus along with the bills from both experiences into two framed collages which now hang proudly in our home dining room as a reminder of two great emotional dining experiences. the next visit to yountville, ca i will take time to paint an oil portrait of the french laundry so i can add this to the artifacts that took me to places i have never been before and add this to the decor of our humble dining room at home. see what a great dining experience can do for you!

i was disenchanted with my visit. having eaten at a total of 3 5-star and 5-diamond restaurants, i have to say this one was the worst. the food was delicious, but the service we received was less than stellar. i took my wife there for lunch for her 30th birthday, and we were the only ones there.

it was also very expensive ($500 for the two of us).

i will probably not go back unless someone invites me.
