good food; lovely place. we were a bit confused at first, having booked a table at the dogs, we found underdogs and amore dogs and the dogs all next door to each other. but we were in the dogs after all, and it was fabulous.
service was quick without feeling rushed. food - delicious. we had venison liver which was perfectly cooked, and the vegetarian sausages with mash, which were great. puddings - sticky toffee, and lemon & thyme posset. just lovely. all was well-done without being fancy, and the atmosphere was good, relaxed and friendly. prices - for food of this quality, it was a bargain. £46 for 2, 2 courses including wine and coffee.
already looking forward to a return trip.
