the cellar fits landsdowne's community. for the last few years the signature club has been trying to work in the right restaurant. first they had a members only fine dining restaurant, that didn't work. then the people who own annette's downtown took over and opened a new beach style restaurant for the public, that didn't work either. now it's the cellar, an upscale sports bar and it looks like this one will stick.
from what i've seen in the reviews and from wom, everyone has seemed to like this place. so my group wanted to give it a try and went with expectations that this would live up to their reviews. it did, the cellar hits a home run when it comes to the simple dishes you'd want at a sports bar. what makes them unique? the quality. lexington is full of chain restaurants that screw up the simplest pub food items. it's nice to now have a place that can fix this dilemma. their beer cheese plate, spinach artichoke dip, mini brats are all good. i had the burger and fries and it was great.
along with good food is their great service and atmosphere. the employees are very nice and the facility looks great with a huge outdoor patio. if you're trying to get away from all these crazy chain restaurants in lexington, this is a nice place to pick.
