i loved this place, not just for the awesome burgers and milkshakes, but for the service. just the right approach for a place of this type. my family and i got here at the end of the lunch period and it was really busy. the guy spotted us looking unsure but grabbed us and let us know a table would be free soon. we waited for 3 mins and i'm very glad we did. food came quick and it was generous and tasty.

great burgers here. i had the thanks giving burger - chicken, king island brie, cranberry sauce etc - it was really good. the side order of onion rings were perfect. well done guys n girls.

i had the fun guy, an amazing veggie burger with stuffed mushrooms, eggplant, haloumi, caramelised onions, pesto, relish and rocket! so so delicious! but nothing, and i mean nothing compared to their chips! cannot recommend it enough!

excellent burgers and off the chain milk shakes. a great place to casually meet someone when you're not sure whether either of you will be in the mood for food or drink, they have both and both are quite impressive.

the closest fix i've ever had to the infamous
fergburger from nz.
this burger and sides was amazing!
fresh, tasty , and big!
great work guys don't change!

ve been here 3 times for takeaway. they are the freshest tastiest burgers ive had so far.
its always nice a clean , staff are polite and well presented.
ive tried 4 other burger places in hobart that were very sub standard so i keep coming back here

cold soggy burger. i didnt event swallow my first bite. i mean how do you serve a burger with a cold patty? surely that comes straight off the grill. it was disgusting. i just left rather than complained, ill never go back of course

order the vintage (beef), steak sandwich and thick cut chips. both burgers were quite bread heavy, wish the meat was more prominent. despite this, the actual meat had great flavour and the thick chips were so good.

on holiday here in tassie and had a burger craving, so thought we'd give this place a go via ubereats.

food arrived cold, but that's hardly the restaurant's fault. the food itself was alright (good value but mediocre) but i thoroughly didn't enjoy the onion rings (there was something in the batter that tasted horrible but to be fair, it might be personal preference). the burger was a bit dry, but otherwise tasted alright - the wholemeal bun was nothing special, reminiscent of the buns you can easily get at your local woolies. the chicken strips and shoestring fries were actually very good, as was the salad we'd ordered.

in short, despite how mediocre the food was at this time, i'd still give them a go - not via ubereats though (that's a whole other story!)

definite potential. toasting the bun would go a long way in improving the eating experience. also salt on the onion rings. i'm getting the impression that the chefs of hobart are scared of a little sodium.

what makes a good burger is very personal and subjective, here is what i though t about the burger haus while visiting hobart from sydney for the weekend.
i ordered the mr america (double meat) when it arrived to the table the first thing i noticed was the cheese had not been melted... for me this is rule #1 broken (always melt the cheese).
after first bite i liked the flavours with the crisp lettuce and salad but the meat was dry and over cooked. if they had not over cooked the meat and melted the cheese on the burger i think it would of been really nice.
i will give them another go next time i’m in town.

so only 3 stars from me this time.

i'm a fan of a good burger. this place does just that. they also have all the good things that are supposed to go along with burgers. the onion rings and thick cut beer battered chips are fantastic! their specialty shakes (we had the cookies and cream), remind me of the old-style diners.

a good burger place with nice sitting and decor. patty was crisp and nicely placed pickle tomatoes and onion under wheat or white bun.
wanted to try lazagne burger but it was not veg...

had lunch at 2pm on a monday here. the burgers and shakes were good and the staff friendly. music and atmosphere was great. 👍 would dine again.
