i enjoyed the ambiance and our server was very nice. however, my food was inedible. i ordered the veggie burger and it was gummy and tasteless. it tasted like canned black beans that were mushed, formed into a patty and heated without adding any other ingredients. bland and just gross. if you aren't even going to try to make a decent burger than just carry frozen boca patties as that would be a huge improvement. i won't be back.

my neighborhood place!. this is close to home for me and i can always count on a well-mixed drink, passable wine and some a+ food! honestly with all of the tourist crap in ybor i don't know how i would survive without bricks!

great place! just a block away from the parking garage in a charming corner brick building. the walls are covered with art for sale, and the exposed brick wall adds ybor charm. we sat at the bar while waiting for our friend and enjoyed a few beers from their great beer list. its not overly long, but there is a choice for every taste. they also have a full liquor bar and wine. i noticed fresh mint, a muddler and bitters on the bar, which is a good sign for cocktails. but i was in a beer drinking mood. the bartender was friendly and attentive. we then moved to a table for lunch. i was torn between three sandwiches but decided on the club. we had chips n salsa appetizer and the salsa was freshly made. my sandwich was huge and yes, a little dry. but the potato salad was the best ive ever had. my friend got the portabello mushroom sandwich and it was divine! even though my sandwich wasnt the best, there other items i want to try so i will be back soon!

good vibe. parking was horrible as usual since it's ybor.
we ordered some beverages and my table ordered some hummus. i am not a big fan of hummus so i can't really give an unbiased review of it.
the atmosphere was great though. the wait staff was friendly and service was quick and attentive.
i would come back and try some real food next time.

this sandwich was not only easy on the taste buds, but also healthy- minus the cheese. but the way i see it, cheese provides calcium and protein, so even that ingredient has health benefits.

we decided to try this place based on good reviews, though i typically avoid restaurants in ybor. restaurant itself was funky and hipster. servers were cut from the same cloth. it was a version of this scene which i found enjoyable. it goes south with the food unforunately. chips were rancid. salsa was pulsed in a blender with an overwhelming sharp raw garlic taste. inedible. hummus was average. john candy sangria was cloying sweet and virtually undrinkable. mojo pork tacos were the nadir. the worst taco i have ever had. unbelievably dry and tasteless. i would have prefered taco bell. i cant emphasize enough how bad these tacos were. eating here is a form of self imposed punishment. i dont know what these great reviews are talking about. get some taste buds.

love to go to the bricks for lunch especially for some casual meetups with people and to get some work done outside the office. the service here is good, consistent and accommodating. glad ybor had bricks with a great atmosphere and excellent selection of food, coffee, beer and wine.

only thing i didn't like. i was sitting at the bar with some friends, we only ordered drinks and appetizers. one of my friends wanted to see the rays game and it took 30 minutes to find the remote. lame, right? also there was an employee mixing an alcoholic drink behind the bar and then he took a sip of it. when i saw this i was shocked and started laughing. he looked back at me and snapped "it's for me." he seemed like a real d-bag and may have been the owner??? i was still shocked at his response and that its ok to drink at work while you are working??? maybe i am naive, but i think this was hilarious.

nice and tasty. we first noticed that the atmosphere is very nice and the place is clean and inviting. service was quick and attentive; the service was excellent. the bird and pig, a signature sandwich, was delicious. chicken, bacon, brie, and apples made this a unique and delicious surprise. order it, you won't be disappointed.

the pulled pork sandwich was good...not great. the "slaw" on the pulled pork had a sauce that was definitely a peanut butter base. it was a bit dry, but making it any wetter would soak the bun and make it mushy. the potato salad was fresh and tasty.

service, price, and tasty food make the bricks of ybor a definite revisit in the near future.

amazing and veggie friendly. easily one of my favorite vegetarian options in tampa. i particularly like the black bean dip, and the goodness sandwich with potato salad is delicious. they also get bonus points for having bell's beer (being from michigan, this is awesome!).

always a good time. cool space with local art on the walls and local beer on tap. the regular menu is always satisfying, and the daily specials are always a treat. movie night is a fun chance to check out some old school favorites, and the full liquor bar makes it a great spot to just get a drink with some friends. the bricks is always a good choice.

my friends were right!. i had heard from several friends that the next time i'm in tampa i should try the bricks. people that know me seemed to think that this is the kind of restaurant that i would love, so on my last visit i made a point of it to see if they were right.
the atmosphere… bar/ restaurant/ coffee shop located on 7th avenue in ybor city with local art on the walls and live music on certain nights.
the service… our server was courteous and helpful, and our food arrived in the proper amount of time
the food… they offer a wide variety of beer, coffee and tea to sip on while you enjoy one of their unique appetizers, salads, or sandwiches that are made up of an interesting combination of ingredients. they also serve "specialty" peanut butter and grilled cheese sandwiches.
there were three of us and so for an appetizer we decided to get the "taste of the bricks" (house-made hummus, house-made salsa, house-made black bean dip, vegetables, tortilla chips, pita slices - $12). everything on this platter was fresh and delicious, and just the right amount for three people.
then when it was time to order i had a ginger peach tea ($2 - delicious) and the pacific rim pulled pork (ponzu and coffee marinated roasted pork, asian slaw, hawaiian sweet bread - $8) and my side was the roasted potato salad. there were several other sandwiches that sounded good, but i'm glad i tried this one for my first visit. the pork was tender and flavorful and made for a really nice sandwich. however the star of the show might have been the potato salad. i normally shy away from mayonnaise-based potato salads, but this was a sour cream base, served cold and mixed with bacon, cheese and chives, giving it a loaded baked potato flavor! it was quite memorable! i would definitely go back to the bricks and try some of the many other intriguing menu items.
