i went here during level 2 restrictions (spaced out seating, 1 server per table) and was really impressed with the management of the new rules. friendly service, yummy food, and very inviting decor. i had the cauliflower burger (i’m newly vegetarian) and was really impressed, it had great seasoning and was a pretty inventive item that sets it apart from typical vegetarian fare from non-speciality restaurants. will definitely be going back! the only thing impacting my experience was the fact there weren’t any blinds on the window i was seated by - the building faces the sun, and as it was setting i copped a fair bit of sunstrike. that’s on me for choosing to sit there, but in future when the restaurant is crowded i think customers might feel like they’ve gotten the short straw by being seated there.

went to botany commons the other day and the food was amazing! the staff were really friendly and the people at the bar were fantastic! can't recommend this place enough!

today me and a group of friends went to have breakfast and they questioned if we had id, i asked the waitress we where only having breakfast and her reply was because we look underage we have to show id, pretty ridiculous considering it was only 11 am. two of us showed id except one of our friends, the waitress said we could not be served and rejected us first time this has ever happened to me and made me feel less valued and i would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, pathetic service .

we had a great experience from the service to the ambiance and food! dining in with a small active child is a challenge but the place has massive room for children too.

the margherita pizza and truffle potatoes are always really good here. the food comes out quickly and the wait staff is super nice. also highly recommend the pina colada’s here!

the food was good and the staff were very friendly, especially the red-headed waitress. i will come again

ate here for dinner the other day and have to agree with the below review that the restaurant was better when it was doolan brothers. my garlic pizza bread was very dry and although i understand that the crispy wings are meant to be crispy i’m assuming only the skin should be crispy. the chicken itself lacked moisture so it just felt like i bit into some over cooked chicken. service was average nothing bad but nothing great either.

loved this place when used to be under doolan brothers. still ok but the place is too dark. cant even read menus. ordered a cocktail omg it cost $18 but it full of ice . there is no taste at all.

paid $18 for a glass of spritz full of ice (basically a full glass of ice) and little spritz, i asked for a replacement but they came back with less ice but more soda water which tastes blank, very bad value for money, i felt i was ripped off, i will never come back to this place again👎if there’s zero star rating choice, i’ll rate 0 star.

came here for a close friend’s birthday dinner around 6pm. although the waitresses were lovely and gave us good service, the one thing i really disliked about botany common was the table size. we struggled to squeeze everything we ordered onto the table (1 ft margherita pizza, 2 ft the mac pizza, 2 orders of onion rings and 2 orders of truffle parmesan potatoes). however, the food was fantastic.

margherita pizza (5/5) - i mean, you can’t really go wrong with cheese, tomato and basil on some bread.

the mac pizza (3/5) - tasted like the big mac for sure but got a little difficult to eat when i was approaching my 2nd slice. very very cheesy from the cheddar. apparently, i don’t like cheddar as it’s very overwhelming.

onion rings (4/5) - crispy outside and sweet inside. comfort food at its finest.

truffle parmesan potatoes (5/5) - super buttery and the potatoes successfully soaked it up like a sponge. this means, this is a very flavourful dish. enjoyed this so much.

overall, it’s not extremely fancy but a great place to catch up with friends or go on a date and get some good food.

brilliant fresh food, that wasn’t too heavy for summer and a great atmosphere for a casual lunch. will definitely be back for another big mac bowl!

food is so nice .! lots of options and portion sizes just perfect. love the different seating options bar or conservatory. kids room a great addition also.

great service and good food. (note. friday nights are very loud and very busy, we were put on a wait list and seated in the bar until they had an available table in the restaurant area, fine for us but maybe not if you are in a rush) will go back again

unfortunately the food is tasteless, each meal was missing seasoning and needed a decent sauce to tie the food together. for the large group and the price we paid, we were really disappointed. to be honest the food court has way better food for a fraction of the price. they need to revamp the menu and work on flavour, as the atmosphere is quite good there for drinks.

ordered the fish tacos and was very disappointed at the size of the meal in comparison to the price.

wouldn’t recommend coming here.
