come here a lot great to have a cajun creole cooking in bethlehem. food is good love the porkbelly app and charred shrimp app. duck po boy is tasty they actually have really good fries always crispy. also make a good fried chicken. they tend to add asian ingredients to certain dishes to give it a little flair which i think works really well with there cuisine. they put out a good product.

excellent food but bring ear protection. my wife and i dined at the bayou last evening. when we walked in, we were taken aback with the noise. this is not the place to go for a quiet meal. we almost got up to leave because of the noise. we decided to stay and are glad we did. the food was excellent. the gumbo was exceptional. i has the fried chicken dinner which was probably the best fried chicken i've ever had and my wife had the skirt steak which was very tender and delicious. for dessert, we split an order of beignet's. to our surprise, the waitress arrived with a plate with four beignet's that were very hot (obviously made to order) and covered with powdered sugar. we found all pricing to be very fair including the cocktails. we will be back for sure.

as much as eating the hush puppies made me happy, what i was really anxious to try was the pork belly confit ($9) served with cucumber kimchi, scallion oil, and chinese black vinegar. the pork belly was everything i wanted it to be and more. slightly sweet from the caramelization, crispy, and satisfyingly meaty all at the same time with a richness that was balanced by the tangy cucumber kimchi. this dish became an instant favorite in my book.

great atmosphere, really good food, along with a large selection of beers and good service . highly recommend.

this is a fun place with some interesting food, you should definitely check it out! there does seem to be some issue with service, we had a reservation but our table wasn't available. fortunately the bar had room and great service. we wound up staying there because it was going to be a long wait. the bartenders are great! the mac and cheese is ridiculous! definitely order it to share, so rich, reminds me of carbonara with the ham and peas. the problem mousse is also amazing, leave room!

bad service. we went there after hearing great things about the food well...
the service was the worst i have ever had...the owner/manager was very rude and more into hitting on women
the front staff didn't know how or when to seat us
the food was good but was very slow coming out to us and the waitress was not very personable
overall, the food was ok but the service was bad enough not to come back for awhile

great restaurant - don't miss out!!. wow!!!! unique, fantastic, delicious and a real gem in the lehigh valley/bethlehem pa.
take the road less traveled and stop into the bayou restaurant. this new restaurant is small in size but huge on taste.
we have now been to bayou twice in just over a week and will become regulars. when you combine the great beer selection, 24 beers on tap, with the menu you have a real "winner."
we have now eaten several of the appetizers and small plate specials. we can say that each dish has its own unique flavors and keeps you wanting more and more.
christian the owner and tyler the "chef" were great and we wish them much success!!!

holy cow! what an awesome place. chef spins a new twist in good ole southern comfort food. hush puppies with chimachurra can't explain it but it works.
