bardo's coffee shop. bardo's is a welcome addition to west wash park. good coffee, friendly staff, and a nice quiet atmosphere for conversation. the pastries look wonderful, although i haven't indulged yet. there is always a plate of bite-sized samples on the counter -- for those of us who want just a taste of sweetness with our brew. a nice neighborhood place that promises to be a regular stop for me.

quickly became one of my favorite coffee shops on south broadway on the first visit. the baristas are very friendly and there are plenty of spaces to sit down whether you enjoy a windowsill, booth, table, or even 1980s green furniture. both latte and macchiato were decent brews and reasonably priced ($4) for 20oz of morning inspiration. they sport a communal atmosphere of sharing tables to meet some great neighbors. only down side is the lack of free parking as neighborhoods require permits and metered spaces surround the shop. overall, a great and cozy experience to read or get some work done.

i love this place. i've been here a few times, and i've always been impressed. the coffee is amazing (like, one of the best white chocolate mochas i've ever had, amazing) and the environment is quiet and relaxed. the interior is quirky without being overwhelming, and it's always clean. the service is always on point, too, which solidifies why i keep coming back.

dig it !!. i stumbled upon this place after looking for a place to hang out with some friends later at night. its a great atmosphere to hang out and have some tea as we unwind from our days. bardo is open till 1 am on school nights and 3 am on the weekend. the typical crowd here has been those studying and then us who love to talk . i recommend this spot to anyone and am happy to admit it has become our regular spot.

very hipster. this place definitely caters to the hipsters and wanna-be anarchists of the area. and vegans/vegetarians, or some combination of all the aforementioned. the tea is good but pricey and the snacks are pretty good (from buffalo doughboy's bakery, not made in the cafe). the vibe of the place is pretty cool though. they have couches and board games and wifi. it's a pretty cool place to sit and have a cup of tea or coffee, a cookie, and catch up on some reading or surf the web.
