one of my favorite places in la. try their mojito...so amazing. their burgers are pretty tasty as well. the atmosphere is entertaining, great music...servers and bartenders are friendly. they serve brunch on weekend and also happy hour during weekdays. highly recommended :)

lunch with jen, nicole and/or deuce is the best (and discounted during the week). plus solid draft beer selection. my favorite is the oriental chicken salad.

worst night of my life. i had the worst night of my life at the abbey. during the evening my gf's and i had our mobile phone stolen at the abby, when i reported it the weho police said it was a common problem at the abbey.

as the evening went on my friend who is epileptic went missing, when i approached the bouncers, i told them my phone was stolen and i couldn't get a hold of my friend who is epileptic, she had been missing for a couple of hours. their reply was it isn't our problem, i started to cry and beg for help and that was a sign for them to handcuff and man handle me, i am bruised all over thumb, hand, wrist and legs, i can't bend my thumb and it is painful to move. i can't believe they would treat a person in need of help in this way, i am completely disappoint with the abbey and will never return.

the featured food items were all mexican inspired, that was fine by me! the nachos and quesadilla immediately jumped off the page and into our mouths. the drinks came first. to start the evening with bubbles was just what we needed.

best kept secret!. i could go back to the abbey over and over again- the food is that good! it's a small place with so much attitude. it's vivacious atmosphere makes you feel so welcome. the option to substitute a portabella mushroom cap in for a beef patty in all of there burgers is awesome. not to mention the fries and homemade chips are to die for. probably my favorite place to eat at in providence thus far.

this place freaking sucks if you're a lesbian. everyone is either a gay man or a straight couple.... we got table service. spent lots of dollars and couldn't find one lesbian in the place besides ourselves. don't go het looking for lesbian love.

my death row last meal. best burgers in providence, hands down. the place has a reputation as kind of a dive, and it is, but it isn't that bad either. the bathrooms are that bad, but the place itself is a typical college pub and i actually like the darkened quality the black ceiling brings to the place. i would avoid this place on weekend evenings when school is in session because it is definitely a pc hangout and it isn't very big.

they have a vast beer selection but my draft was flat. could be an exception, but watch out for it. safest bet is to drink the less exotic drafts which are probably replaced more often and are fresher as a result. regardless, i would consider the burgers as worthy of a death row last meal.

not cheap, but oh-so-good!. the abbey is one of my favorites when visiting la, whether it's to eat, or just drink. the crowd is always fun and entertaining, and i think the atmosphere is amazing. the only downside to the abbey is the cost; the food isn't cheap, and drinks are even more expensive. however, for a person like me who only makes it there once a year, it's all worth it.

unfortunately, i didn't get to party there this time, (no drinking took place) as we only had a lunch. from what i remember of the drinks in past times though, they're always good.

for lunch i had a reuben sandwich. it was a-maz-ing. the bread must've been grilled, because it was slightly crunchy and had a buttery taste. the meat (which was pastrami, not corned beef, and a nice change) was piled high and super tender. it was slightly more chopped than made with slices. there was also plenty of swiss on it, but now that i think about it i don't remember much for sauce. the sandwich itself was so good, however, that it didn't matter. it was served with fries that were both flavorful and crispy. the meal was $14, which may seem high, but considering how good it was i had zero problems paying this.

service was good. our drinks never went empty and he came back often.

try out this hot spot in west hollywood (for dinner or drinks) for sure!

if you've ever been to the abbey you know it's a scene. absurdly in-shape bartenders in tight tank tops, ridiculously good cocktails (love the raspberry mojito - albeit pricey), and a serious dance-a-thon at night. their food is even pretty darned good, especially brunch - just wish they had bottomless mimosas too! as with most sbe owned spots - the place tends to be rather $$$. but luckily, they have a kick-ass happy hour mon-fri from 4-7pm where everything is just five bucks. the abbey happy hour mon-fri, 4-7pm food deals: $5 abbey nachos, quesadillas, mac n'cheese, chicken tenders, onion rings, buffalo wings, & more booze deals: $5 martinis, wells, beers, wine, caiparinhas, and mojitos (even the raspberry!!!) . the abbey was voted the best gay bar in the world by mtv and it's obvious why - it is always busy, it is always fun, the food is always good, and the drinks are alway

food and drink - both good!. despite the 70s "abbey" architecture, the place was well maintained, lively and the food was far superior to any "bar food" i've had in a long time. i ate a burger and a wedge salad.

for those that haven’t been to the abbey, the place is huge. there are 4 bars, 3 indoor & 1 outdoors. it was nice to see that even during happy hour 2 of the 4 bars were open

really fun food & drinks. contrary to what some may think, this hot spot gay bar serves more than just good drinks and beautiful people. the food here is actually quite good!

the hummus is house made and tastes great with the freshly baked pita bread. the burgers are also quite good, including the veggie burgers. who knew bar food could be so satisfying?

so next time i'm hitting the club scene in weho, i'm stopping here to eat. i can get my drinking, dining, and dancing all under one roof. what more can i want?
