ten ten american bistro

great for eating but not with friends. like so many restaurants, this restaurant ignores acoustics. we were taken by a friend, his wife and two kids (6 in all). unless you are in your twenties you cannot clearly hear the people at your table. it was obvious as soon as we arrived that it was not going to be an enjoyable get together, but actually stressful. it needs an acoustic ceiling and some soft furnishings to dampen the overly bright reflective acoustics. it would be fine if you are dining alone wearing noise canceling headphones! food great though. service great too.

food was pretty good but we were charged for food we never ordered to the tune of almost $40.00. spoke to the general manager the next day and she said she would credit our card. it never happened! i have called 3 more times and 2 months have now passed and we have never gotten our money back! so the food is good but we left with a horrible taste in our mouth and will not be back!

this place serves the most delicious food with the classy ambiance and happy customers. i am impressed with their staff that is welcoming and polite too.

small cozy with good food made to order. reasonable prices and very helpful staff. fried chicken and biscuit was excellent. spicy bloody mary a bonus.

the food was delicious and reasonably priced for the portions. had the chicken with fingerling potatoes in duck fat - magical. also had the kale salad with peanut dressing, mint and scallions. the combination worked really well - nice and bright. the service and atmosphere were both excellent. highly recommend!

very nice atmosphere! pate is awesome. nice service. very friendly. menu was nice and not overwhelming. and if nothing else go for desert absolutely excellent.

i now work in harbor east , which has given me plenty of chances to cross things off of my baltimore restaurant list . on weekdays before 6pm, ten ten offers 1,000 point tables on opentable which made grabbing dinner there after work a quick, no-hassle option.  ten ten happens to be one of the wonderful restaurants that are part of the bagby restaurant group. the others are  cunningham’s , and cunningham’s cafe & bakery in towson, then fleet street kitchen  and bagby pizza co. in  harbor east . i had already visited two of the more causal restaurants that are part of the  bagby restaurant group so i had high hopes for  ten ten . ten ten upon looking over the menu,  the fried brussels sprouts immediately sparked my interest. a few months ago at the nickel taphouse i tried fried brussels sprouts which i loved so i decided to give these a go. they were flash fried and tossed in a seafood-chili vinaigrette and they were phenomenal. the sauce was sticky-sweet and went well over the brussels

at this dinner, i learned that beer can actually pair with food just as well, if not better than wine.  john hufnagel, the chef of ten ten  combined with jason hulse, certified cicerone and yard’s sales representative for the are put together a brilliant 5 course dinner with beer pairings.  the beers are selected specifically around the way it enhances the meal: complement, contrast and/or cut flavors of the food. we started with surprise complementary appetizer; a single bite of fresh heirloom, basil and house made ricotta.  i definitely tasted the chopped walnuts which gave the nibble a nutty finish. it definitely set me up for wanting to try the tomato tasting menu at their sister restaurant fleet street kitchen . let me get to the pairings.  first course was yards love stout, a nitrogen cask style stout and baked bay oysters; local old black salt oysters that are farm raised

i came here for my girlfriends birthday and without asking what to do they said that they would do their best to make it special... and they did a very classy job. a few minutes after we sat down the manager brought us both a celebratory glass of prosecco and thanked us for choosing tenten. we enjoyed an incredible meal and came out with a candle light dessert for an extra little celebration. the wait staff was perfect, not too pushy and not too overbearing. i had the best cheeseburger i have had in recent memory. this will become a routine stop for fine dining for myself and encourage everyone to visit here once and often. hope the menu evolves over the next visits to keep my taste buds wanting more. cheers.

lunch. the decoration and design at ten ten are far above average. while small the space is beautiful. for lunch the menu had a broad range of choices from burgers to salads and plenty of other lunch favorites with ten ten's own spin on each of them. i was a bit displeased with my sandwich becuase the bread was hard. it wasn't toasted to crispy just very hard. other guests with me did not have the same bread as i did so i'm not sure if that was the way the bread was supposed to be or not. i also tried the calamari which was spectacular. overall, i might try ten ten again but i think i would try other restaurants in the area first.

i never take the time to write reviews but the food prompted me to take the time to do this. the food was such an awful disappointment . the ambiance of the restaurant is lovely further heightening the failure of the food. i always applaud some kind of effort and deplore emptiness. this was clearly the latter

no really happy with my food, server was excellent.

don't go. i don't know where to begin.. poor service.. staff talking and using their cell phones..
our waiter seemed to have no interest in our table.. took 20 min to get cocktails.
we did not order a bottle of wine.. just 2 glasses and iced tea.
the dates were sweet and soft - seemed a few days old, we mentioned this and our waiter said he would talk to the manager.. totally forgotten.
crab gazpacho full of old bay flavor not much else.
i love steak frites- my go to dish.. this must have been a shoulder cut.. not going back

the duck is amazing, try it.

get this place some business. had a really great meal there recently. we shared a bunch of apps and they ranged from good to great. service was good. not intrusive but present when necessary. entrees were on point as well. would like to see them get a little more adventurous but will happily go back soon!
