just ate here. really great food, great service! all around a positive experience. entrees from 10-20$. good cheap house wine. from out of town but would definitely try it again if i lived here:)

do not eat at this restaurant! they are serving pollack or some other cheap fish and calling it grouper. owner is rude and actually called me a liar in front of customers simply for sending back the cheap, totally dark meat, over cooked, old fish he claimed was grouper. he would not refund our dinners, which we only took two bites of, and said if i did not own a restaurant could not tell what good food was??? well...surprise. i do and this place missed the boat on food and customer service.

great space, great service. the food was not so great but its fine. it was my first time there and i really enjoyed the atmosphere and the options. although i found the dishes expensive and not very good.

went for dinner at 6:15 prior to going to a show. despite a low number of diners and ample staff, service was slow. it took 45-60 min to get our entrees. had the moussaka which arrive lukewarm at best; vegetables (beans and carrots) were very under cooked, practically raw. also had the saganaki appetizer which was good but waitress dropped the lemon on the floor while squeezing it over the cheese.

great food and atmosphere. the rooftop is superb! all the great greek specialties and easy parking! sunday brunch is a great opportunity try everything!

the menu at taverna agora is medium sized with the usual greek favorites: salads, grape leaves, gyros, tzatziki sauce and more. i go with a pork souvlaki pita with fries at a very reasonable $9. and the sandwich is great, charred pork cubes in a nicely toasted pita with plenty of fresh veggies and sauce!

loved the food , the music, the service! this place is a winner. if you are ever in raleigh nc, definitely consider this place for dinner. loved it!

awesome food. the athenian chicken was very good! great flavor with yummy lemon potatoes and just the right amount of accompanying sauce. tried the spicy feta spread. nice spicy bite!

embarrassing. my sister and i went there for the first time. my sister had the crab ravioli and i had the fish of the day. we enjoyed the meal and we received great service. we paid separately with our credit cards and gave him a 30% tip each. we left the restaurant and got into our car. the waiter came out and knocked on our car window to ask us for the merchant receipt copy. he stated that one of the receipt was missing. we both looked in our purses to see if the receipt was in our bag, it wasn't, but we gave him the costumer copy of our receipt. i was annoyed by the incident because it created the impression that we skipped out on our bill, which we did not. i know he was just doing his job, but due to this incident, i will not go back! i was extremely embarrassed.

great evening. we were in town last weekend and looking for a good place for dinner. taverna agora had bee recommended...it was great...while they were busy, our table never lacked for attention. the entrees were wonderful and the desserts, oh, the desserts. we will most certainly be going back

commercialized greek food, i wasn't wildly impressed. it's not that it was bad, per se, but it wasn't earth-shattering-mind-blowing-good. for the price... i probably won't go back.

the service was attentive, friendly and complimented an over all great meal. many times when i go out to eat greek cuisine, i have trouble straying from gyros and souvlaki but i look forward to working my way though the menu here.

quite good. their food was quite good- i had several vegetarian appetizers that were tasty but fell short of exceptional.
the service was very attentive and the atmosphere very welcoming. a little too pricey for what they provide, but it's a nice 'date night' restaurant.

the lamb is cooked in its own juices. when you look at this photo, you may think you are seeing a bit of bone in the lamb, but that’s a piece of garlic, tenderly nestled into the meat to fantastic effect. the lemon herb potatoes are light. the dark purple cabbage is as tasty as it is beautiful on the plate. eat your colors!
