taster's wok

hands down my favorite chinese place in washington. everything is amazing, in particular the tom ka ga, crab rangoon, and almond chicken. i'm never dissatisfied

just the bomb, from day one!. this is thedoughboy speaking and i have been eating at taster's since they opened back in 1999/2000. tasters wok has always been the best all around chinese restaurant within a 25 mile radius. the problem for me is that they cannot make a hot-spicy dish to save their life. i order my dishes at 10 stars spicy and get maybe 3 stars hot.

are they afraid that that this white boy cannot handle the heat?? i am a card carrying member of the ring of fire damn it! even when i ask them to have the chef cook it like in china and make it hot. i get barely 3 stars in return ;( oh well, they are still to bomb and darby is our favorite hostess :)

for the bad :( dish flavors vary from the dat to night shift cooks. the thai food and curry selections are ok, nothing too special. also the owners need to spend a few bucks to fix the dilapidated bathrooms and floppy front door. it is 2012 and time for a new coat of paint on the building. it's not like this place is hurting for money.

my family and i will still come here 2-3 times a month no problem.

came here for a quick lunch. the place is quite big and there is ample parking. the lunch menu is very reasonable in prices, with reasonable portion size. i tried the lunch special which was quite good; not salty and oily. they cater to low sodium diet as well. the staff is friendly and prompt.

this is the best chinese restaurant around! the food is incredible and the service is superb! you will keep coming back for more i promise!

just okay. nothing special, a decent almond fried chicken and mongolian beef. good service and fair size portions, but i wouldn't drive out of my for it.

i generally judge how good the food is by how many if the customers are asian. there was not any there and it was obvious that it was an "american chinese" restaurant. the service was extremely slow and we waited way too long for our food. i know there has to be better chinese food somewhere, but it's not here.

the very best orange chicken around. nothing else comes close. i always get it 5 star spicy.

good food. will definitely come back. the only thing bad i can say is that the servers like to chat with regulars in the dining room, and we pretty much heard everyone's life stories.

very good food. the potstickers in particular were outstanding. the only negative side to this place was our waitress. houdini could've learned from her disappearing trick.

dishonest. don't ever order takeout from this place! they charged us $40 bucks for two entrees just because it was takeout but they don't tell you that until you get there. they add on all these ridiculous fees just because apparently its a hassle for them to do a take out order. they don't even deliver so it wasn't an inconvenience for them at all. plus the food is not that great. for that price we could of eaten at pf changs.

love this place!!!!!!. i have been going to tasters wok since it opened. they are always consistently awesome! let's put it this way.... when i moved from lynnwood to seattle i literally would order take-out and drive all the way from seattle to get it and all the way back home. it was always well worth the drive!

pretty poor. bland curry, oily noodles. service was great, though.

we love this place. ok so this is the best chinease restaurant i have tried. we love asian food and are always on the look for a great place.

as we don't like greasy and fattening food then our selections of restaurants that fit the criteria gets shorten. but this place sure fits our taste.

even the general tsoce chicken is not so heavy and it is sure a pleasure to have.

the waiters are very attentive young guys mainly that smile to you and pour from your dishes to share into your bowl or plate. they also ask plenty of times if there was anything else we needed.

we are no to much of a dessert lovers and the only time we ask for one it wasn't that great but again is not a big deal since we are not into sweets that much .

the korean spicy soup is to die for and two can eat from it. also the fiery appetizer is a nice start to your stomach and to your eyes :)

we have been to this place numerous times and we will keep doing so...

owner gives bad customer service. i have dined at tasters wok hundreds of times not only with my family but with my co-workers. i have called in orders numerous times and paid with my card over the phone and had a co-worker pick it up. i called today 2/14/11 to have an order picked up and they said we cant take a payment over the phone, i stated to the owner i have done this more times than i can count, as have my fellow co-workers. the owner became very hostile and just wanted to blow me off instead of appologising and wanting to solve this problem. i dont know if i will ever eat at tasters wok again. if i do, i will definitly give the owner a piece of my mind
