i love places like this. clearly family owned and operated. i recognized not one dish, but then i've never had filipino cuisine. we ordered chicken and pork sisig (a method of preparing fish and meat, especially pork, which is marinated in a sour liquid such as lemon juice or vinegar, then seasoned with salt, pepper and other spices) which were excellent. definitely a great place to grab a well priced and nice dinner while on layover near san francisco international.

love this restaurant in san bruno! because a filipino taste buds will always crave for a filipino cuisine.
i was very delighted to have finally filled up my stomach and satisfied my craving for filipino dishes, unexpectedly in the midst of san mateo county.  my most favorite dish was the crispy binagoongan
(diced crispy pork served over eggplant & cooked w/ shrimp paste)
food rating (serving size) = 10 of 10
food rating (taste) = 100 ! of 10
despite the very long distance of san francisco from the philippines, this may be one of the reasons that i yearn to go back and just have a bite of this very mouthwatering and addicting pork dish with shrimp paste and mango!!!

head over to my blog for more of my review for tastebuds!

wow, that was some of the best lechon i've had in a really long time and unfortunately, there isn't a filipino restaurant in los angeles that does what tastebuds does. so if you're reading this and you own a filipino restaurant in la, please follow tastebuds' lead and i bet you'll get a lot of happy pork lovers coming your way.
