yum. went here after work yesterday. wasn't busy, lots of clean seating available. ordered the "soy wasabi ginger" wings.. lots of soy flavour, not much wasabi or ginger unfortunately. am very curious to try "coconut" wings next. crispy chicken burger i had last week was incredible though. did takeout and it came with a monstrous amount of fries which is sweet. there were also 6 kinds of local beer on tap (all phillips) including amnesiac (8.5%!) for $5.25/pint. well worth a visit!

50/50. the wings arrive promptly, the service is great...and i love the fact that the wings have no breading on them. however, the sauces are mainly watery and flavourless. if you would add more "kick" to your sauces and a *little* salt, i would probably be there at least 1-2x per week.
i've been three times and tried most of the sauces for the wings, and was disappointed in almost all of them except the buffalo. i will be back for those alone. :)
i appreciate the fact that the cups, etc. are all compostable. kudos!

damn tasty...burgers?. yea, the bacon cheeseburger i had was ridiculously tasty. like, maybe the best in town. totally unexpected, and that alone will be bringing me back for sure. the wings were...well, decent / okay. i like my buffalo wings hotter, but it was a tasty sauce. the jerk wings -- yea, ok. will try different flavours next time. nice cosy pub-ish atmosphere.

wings were horribly salty and over cooked. staff was friendly but i do not recommend spending your money here

overall the food was good at reasonable prices. i loved the interior, however when it got busy there was a huge line right next to our table which made it unpleasant. they don't have table service which is why there was a line to order. the onion nest side (like onion fries) were so yummy and the burger was delicious. also a note to the owners. please provide glass water glasses instead of plastic!

not sold yet. while the burger was absolutely delicious (i ordered the cheese burger, great patty), the wings weren't anything special for a place that touts being a 'wing house'.

the sauce we tried was alright (chipotle maple), but the majority of it sat in the bottom of our tray and not on the wings. the wings themselves lacked a serious amount of meat. i most certainly question where they are sourcing their chicken from with tiny little scraps like that.

i'll be going back to give it another chance, but it might be its last.

this brand new restaurant in victoria has exploded onto the scene with so much buzz i was nervous about making this post without visiting a few times to let things settle in a little bit. still, started by the owner and a chef from brunch darlings shine it's no surprise to me that they were so popular, although they admitted they didn't expect to be as slammed as they were at the start, selling out of beer and wings exponentially faster than they had expected.

i love that all the sauces are made in-house and they source as much as they can locally and still hit some good price points.

i'll be back....well, actually i already have been...i guess i should say, i'll be coming back some more!

great burgers. best burger i've had in a long time. i don't think they need to be any larger, or spicier as someone said. reasonable too...
they're perfect as they are....
fries aren't bad.

decent, fairly priced. made it in for the 1st time after going by a couple of times to see a huge line up for ordering so i decided to go back when it wasn't as busy. i ordered a cheeseburger, small fries and maple chipotle chicken wings. decently priced, it only cost me $17.50. the wings are a nice size, cooked well, and the sauce was good, but could have used a little more zip with the chipotle. the burger tasted really good, but would have maybe liked a bit bigger of a burger patty and more curry mayo that came on it. the fries were alright.

i will be back one day, maybe to try out a few other flavors off the menu. i like ordering at the front and getting your own drink and seating yourself. the only big flaw i found was the staff were a little on the unprofessional side and a little too vocal about their personal lives, drinking pop right beside the cash etc, but i am sure some kinks will get worked out as the business grows.

absolutely amazing! a vegetarian and meat eater go out for dinner this place is perfect, the tofu was delicious and i hear the wings were equally great so reasonably priced, so tasty, great service what more could you want! would recommend to anyone!

not bad but not what i was expecting. i went there with my family and i enjoyed the atmosphere. however i did find that the portions of wings were quite small for the price you're paying. i also found that the flavor wasn't all that good. i did enjoy the lemon herb wings. i ordered a chicken wrap which was okay and i also ordered a cheeseburger which was mediocre. i think this place has potential but needs to step it up a notch with the flavoring and quality of food. wings are about $10 a pound i only got about a dozen wings (maybe less?) which i thought was a bit steep. i'd go back but i won't go outta my way to get there.

disappointed. after seeing the great reviews to date, my expectations were high for tartan toque. a few of us went for lunch and first impressions were good. i love how they’ve decorated the interior and i have no problem with bar service (even though it was pretty slow, especially considering they weren’t busy ). but no big deal, we were excited to try their speciality - wings! between us, we tried at least six different flavours of wings and a waldorf salad with chicken (as recommended by a previous reviewer).

of all the wings we tried, none were that great. the best of the bunch were the ginger wasabi but even those weren’t as good as wings i’ve had at various pubs in town (christie’s, beagle, monkey tree...) and considering wings are their speciality, that’s pretty sad. and the salad - it was overdressed and the worst part was the crispy chicken we had added to it - the most bland, flavourless chicken i’ve ever tasted. i am completely baffled by all the rave reviews.

very good!. i loved my burger that i ordered from here. the pesto mayo amazing! my only request is more meat on the wings! otherwise they were delicious!

new favorite restaurant!. just back from having a burger, wings and beer - everything was excellent!! the burger tasted like a real burger, the wings - chipotle maple - were just the right balance of sweet and heat and the atmosphere was wonderful. all ages come and go - the staff are friendly and helpful - felt right at home. really great environment - cozy and not pretentious - really liked the art work. these folks are working hard to get it right and they are being successful. we will be back!
