good mexican food. a little bland, but i've lived on the border most of my life. reminds me of home.

tried two tacos.  alpastor and barbacoa.  the alpastor was decent, but i prefer mine with a bit of sweetness.  some places will have small chunks of pineapple in them, and those i love the most.  la tapatia's are very savory through and through.  i also prefer fresh onion on my tacos where as la tapatia uses sauteed onions.  not a biggie, but a minor difference between them and my preference.  

barbacoa taco was very good.  well seasoned, very fatty.  i'd definitely go back for one of these alone.

we got quesadillas just to see how good it was and...oh my god! that was the best quesadilla i ever had and the pico was fresh!!!!! i only gave it 4.5 because the size was a bit small and they skimped a little on the sour cream.

great tacos!. try it out for their tacos with meats that you can't get anywhere else like tripas and chicharon. their caldo de res (beef soup) is amazing and hearty, of course being asian i wanted some jasmine rice with it but the tortillas worked too. the interior of the restaurant needed some help but all in all the mexican food there was great. it always reminds me of el paso, tx when my husband was stationed in the army base there. i suggest trying out the drive thru when you're not sure yet but keep in mind it's not really a "fast food" drive thru, so you're most likely going to wait.

new york city?. i went there just to order a couple bacon/potato/cheese breakfast taco's. what i received was ham/potato/cheese. this wouldn't be worthly of my negative comment had it not been the fact that they used tasteless ham lunch meat. it was absolutely gross. hey this is texas, not new york city!

great authentic mexican food! you know it's good when you're the gringo. service is good, sweet waitress'. the veggie quesadilla is so delicious and so is the bistec al la mexicana.

food could definitely use more flavor but isn't too bad and the service was friendly and fast. rice and beans are just as bad as any other "mexican" restaurant but the entree itself was decent. i am very critical of mexican food since i grew up there and this place is ok. worth giving it a shot.
