ate here for my 25th birthday celebration last feb. probably one of the best places to eat! i love their food, the place, the service. everything!
a little far from quezon city, but it's worth the drive! hassle free reservations, and it's easy to find the place as long as you know how to use your maps and as long as you have a good sense of direction 😂✌ totally worth the drive and will surely come back soon!!! ❤

the food is not worth 1350 +10% service charge. my mom could cook better food. the place is beautiful but that is about it.

good food, although i hope the food is a little warmer (would have given 5 stars) but nonetheless all courses taste great. we had the chance to taste all the sets, my personal favorites will be calamares, pininyahang manok, ube lava cake and cheese ice cream, and the popsicle 😉

excellent ambiance, from entrance to inside.

i love weddings, from the huge and grand to the intimate and simple, i think i’ve seen it all!  although i enjoy grand weddings due the extravagance of it, there are so many flaws that i always notice with huge weddings. for one, i observe that people always get tired of how long the hours is, which makes them bored and more often than not, people slowly leave after food was served. then by the end of the event, almost three fourths of the guests are gone.

we got the privilege to try tahanan bistro on recommendation of a friend. very creative take on filipino cuisine turning it in a uniquely fine dining experience! the food is a definitely must try because of each very different takes on the ordinary filipino dish. (we tried iraya and halcon sets)
we super loved the desserts! its something you indulge into and never get tired nor full. the fruit popsicle! they offer on each set is 💯 definitely a must try!
service was exquisite as servers try and explain each course and what’s in it, they are also very accomodating and helpful.
ambiance is just perfect, you feel home with the sound of waters and trees clinging all at the same time.

ps: they do not let you wear outside shoes! i believe they are taking good care of the wood floorings they have so make sure you bring a pair of socks incase! :)

we were able to taste the following:
- rellenong pusit - covered in orange batter, this rellenong pusit is a bomb with all the bursting flavors inside.
- gising gising - i thought this was a dimsum, but yeah a dimsum like dishes with gising gising inside.
- danggit - this refreshing healthy green salad is a must try.
- pininyahang manok - that beautifully plated chicken dish with a twist.
- binagoongan - crispy pork belly indulged in tomato and shrimp paste plus all the other secret ingredients made this one a dish to come back to.
- bistek tagalog - this super tender braised beef shank is delicately made and plated nicely to make a simple dish a top notch.
- fruit salad - it is my first time to eat a salad with chia pudding in it and it was so good! and so healthy!
- ube - this dessert plating would make you say wow! the ube white chocolate lava cake plus the cheese ice cream is just the perfect combination to finish this experience.
- lemongrass iced tea - i don't know but i find this iced tea taste like an old drink which the elders would probably drink while chillaxing, but it do taste good though i thought this was a sago't gulaman at first sip. haha.
oh if i only have so much time, i would spend the whole day here or everyday.

notes: - make sure to have a reservation (check their account in zomato app) - wear your fansiest pair of socks or walk barefooted. - they have lots of wood arts which you can also purchase, and other art works, so better have extra money? - they have mini museum which composes of wood sculptures, paintings, vintage things, and lots of artworks. so better have your cameras on hand. - relax and enjoy the moment. - taste and savor the fusion of food they offer.

i've always been intrigued by tahanan bistro since i've heard a lot about it from friends. so, i was really looking forward to our visit. the ambiance is really nice and romantic. it's perfect for dates and events, but i must say not for kids.

they serve set menus that are at p1350/pax. serving is just ok, not that generous but good for two.

having earned the distinction of being one of zomato’s top foodies choice in antipolo in 2019, tahanan bistro hosted a food tasting event attended by east-based foodies. tahanan bistro opened in july 2016, the brainchild of keesha reyes and husband kevin tuason. they turned part of her family’s ancestral home made entirely from reclaimed wood from old houses and bridges into a casual fine dining 45-seat bistro.

from where we reside, going to antipolo requires effort, time and patience especially in traversing traffic but the homey ambiance, great service, and delicious food made the long journey worthwhile. i just hope that tahanan bistro will consider other options for kids. overall, the experience was delightful. we will definitely come back again.

the place was nice. it has a small art gallery and a beautiful garden. we were not ready for entering bare foot. for ladies, do not wear high heels if you like to go to the garden. the food was ok but not great. the beef course was not available. you would assume that if it's strictly for reservation, all items are available. we appreciated the complimentary cake and the attempt to build some connection though you would know that it was done because they have to. if you come looking for a nice place to eat, this is fine (still a bit overpriced) but if you're after great food, then this is not a good place to stay.

it was overall a delightful experience. will definitely come back.
