tasty thai food!. i stopped by for lunch today with my husband and son. we have driven by the restaurant before, but this is the first time we had eaten there. i really liked the decor of the restaurant--simplistic, but there were a lot of cute little knick knacks (elephants and other thai figurines) placed throughout. i thought the food was delicious! our order consisted of chicken coconut soup/tom khar gai ($3.95), crazy noodles (lunch size $7.95), fisherman's treasure (lunch size $7.95) and chocolate banana spring rolls (6 pieces/$3.95). i thought there was a nice selection of dishes on the menu and curious what is on the dinner menu--if anything is specifically only served during dinner time. i did overhear one of the waitresses telling another table that the dinner menu was pricier and bigger portions. i would love to come back for dinner sometime and especially to try one of their signature dishes. i thought my noodle dish was delicious and a nice size--my 3 year old and i shared it. crazy noodles had wide rice noodles, shrimp, chicken, eggs, onions, carrots, broccoli, and basil leaves. the soup was excellent too. this is one of the reasons i wanted to get thai food today. i have had a major craving for chicken coconut soup! i think their soup broth is saltier than other restaurants, but it was so good! too bad it wasn't a bigger serving--its bigger than a cup of soup, but smaller than a bowl. i thought the dessert was good and a unique way to use spring roll wraps. my husband's meal had shrimp, mussels, squid, scallops, and vegetables (can't recall which vegetables exactly). his only complaint was that it wasn't very spicy--next time he will probably order it spicier.

my only complaint is there were no spring rolls on the menu--there are egg rolls and summer rolls, but i like spring rolls better! i am not sure if they are available at dinner or not served at all. i didn't ask...maybe i should have.

all in all, great experience. the staff was very nice. i felt that the price was no different than going to a place like macaroni grill or fridays. it probably was a little cheaper actually, and we had better food than any major chain restaurants. you can't beat that! can't wait to go back.

i really wish i had taken some pictures of the food, but it looked so delicious when it arrived at our table, i didn't want to waste time photographing it. :)

everything was fresh and full of flavor. we'd recommend the golden bag, above average pot stickers, hot and sour and coconut soups were excellent. main courses thai basil, paneng curry chicken and mango curry chicken were all great. service was very good. they've clearly won awards for a reason. this was our first visit, and we'll be back.

very satisfying thai. we were originally looking for a decent italian in our general area. (medina; and no, there isn't one around until you hit cleveland.) i noticed sweet mango listed in strongsville, and given that my wife's long been a fan of thai food, and it's been increasingly something i've enjoyed, we decided to give it a try.

that was two years ago. we've been going there roughly once a month, ever since. i can't speak to the quality of all the items on the menu, since we tend to get a few things that we really like; but i can praise their chicken coconut soup, crazy noodles, pad thai, salmon paradise, siam duck, and tropical bird's nest. all were prepared well, and decently spiced (which isn't the same thing as hotly spiced--though when we've asked for that, we got it, too).

to our negative responses. my wife liked the lemongrass chicken, but i found it and the chicken pineapple dull. the wild boar basil simply lacked enough meat. even if you like thai food, which is heavy on vegetables, a dish that's supposed to come with some pork deserves more than this.

so we stick with what we especially like, though you (of course) may have your own preferences. suffice to say, the preparation at sweet mango is consistent, and the service is always polite, timely, and friendly. get a reservation on weekends if you plan to go, since the restaurant has been around 7 years, and built quite a following. even though there are perhaps 16 tables of various sizes, it can fill up around dinner time.

sweet mango is far superior to pad thai out in fairlawn. by all means, check it out.

not number one in cleveland. i have to apologize for my previous blog i did not elaborate on the meal so i will do so now. the tom young goon soup had flavor but it had nothing in up with the exceptions of mushrooms and two pieces of shrimp. i'm used to a little more vegetables added which deafly would've made it a much better choice. the fried tofu was just big pieces of tofu, there was nothing special about it. it was described as tofu chips chips it was not, and the sauce was very bland. the spring roll was okay nothing special again you can get it at any restaurant the sauce needed help.
all the main dishes lack anything special the sauces were again just okay they were not what i would consider a number one restaurants choice.

not number one in cleveland. last night the four of us decided to try this number one tire restaurant cleveland and we were very disappointed. the appetizers we had were the spring roll, fried wonton, hot and sour soup, and they were just average at best. the entrées were thai basil, thai chicken with basil, sweet-and-sour chicken, and the bird nest special, all very average nothing special definitely not number one in cleveland in our opinion. we still think thai fun is the best,

very good!!!. i have been here many times and sampled quite a few items off of their menu and i must say that sweet mango is very, very good. i highly recommend their noodle dishes as they are filling a very flavorful. every meal that i have sampled seems to be carefully prepared right down to the visual presentation. i recently had the basil fried rice and was very happy with it. it was like a flavor explosion! their thai iced coffee is to die for. sweet mango doesn't look like a fancy place from the street but what they lack in curb appeal they more than make up for in service and food quality.

best thai food ever!!!!!!!. my boyfriend and i have been here seven times by now and every single time the food is so delicious! the prices are great, the food is yummy, portions are big too! i usually get some kind of curry dish, he gets the curry or pad thai but we always get the sticky rice with either ice cream or the mango! we get all that food plus beverages and the bill is never over $25.00!! i would recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone who loves fresh veggies cooked to perfection, delicious sauces over wonderful food and yummy dessert too!!

after spending 4 years in seattle, i can honestly say this place is every bit as good! we were worried we wouldn't be able to find any thai places around here. i do think the medium heat level seems a bit on the hot side! super friendly staff also!

drove 4 hours for a big disappointment!. after reading everybody rave about sweet mango, i decided to try the berea location yesterday while in town for a hot wheels collector's show. i got the crazy noodle and the hot & sour shrimp soup while i was there. the first thing i thought of when the waitress brought the soup was the scene from the three stooges where curly is pouring hot water down through the chicken in order to make chicken soup...that's what this looked like. the crazy noodle was good, but if that was "two peppers" on their hotness scale, i must need to order a 23! i got two orders of the pad thai (one regular, one "country") to take home for me and some friends. mine was flat out awful, bottom line. we here in west virginia feel that nobody makes really good pad thai around here, but the little hole in the wall chinese restaurant in bridgeport's pad thai blows this away! if i lived in the area i don't even know if i would frequent this place. i would probably spend my time looking for something better...
