sweet life crepes & waffles

got kinda lost looking for this place today. it is hidden in the right corner of the strip mall. right beside scotia bank. we were looking for a big sign but you can only see a sign in the window as you walked up. it was a nice day so we sat outside. there was about 3 tables outside and about 8 tables inside. the server was super friendly. we got a latte and green tea latte. the green tea latte was ok not make from match power but from tea bag, not what i was use to. my friend and i got the amato and grab a lox and swapped half each so we can try them both. i liked the smoked salmon with the hollandaise sauce on mine and she liked the prosciutto on the amato better. the crepe was cooked nicely and was super light and everything tasty great. i would come back again and maybe try the waffles or sweet crepes

just had lunch (first time) at sweet life. given its location in the fairly isolated community of lakeview, i would classify it as a neighbourhood gem. i had a latte, a really lovely bowl of lentil soup, and a messy but delicious sandwich called the bbc - basil, bacon, tomato, and cheese. very friendly and everthing came hot and quick. worth the trip.

came here for breakfast with my mom and some friends. we were the only ones in on an early sunday morning. the waiter was friendly, but should have written our order down, because as he repeated it back to us, he forgot half of it and we had to remind him again. tea and coffee were good. waffles, eggs and bacon were good. their hollandaise is very tasty. friend got the breakfast special which came with a breakfast salad. we thought it would be a fruit salad, but oddly enough it was a lettuce salad with fruit in it. random.

we finished our meals and our plates were taken away, but we sat for quite some time waiting for our bill. we ended up going up to the counter to ask if we could pay. food was good, service was just ok.

breakfast/brunch or just coffee/tea in lakeview. i loved the bacon"eh'tor waffle as well as the regular joe. the tea is great!!! looking forward to coming back to try out some crepes!

my favourite crepe is the greece lightning my sister had the baby got back one too and she loved it. its the best crepe place ever i totally enjoyed it. i will recommend everyone to go there. awesome food

we tried their waffle with scrambled egg with bacon, savory crepe with prosciutto, tomato basil soup, and borscht.

we waited like 30 min till we get food. there was another 1 table still eating and other tables were done eating so considering the business, the operation seemed a little slow. though, this store was cute and cozy!

about food, to be honest, we did not enjoy it. first, the two soups, we don't recommend ordering them. they were both extremely bland and very flavorless. my tomato basel soup especially, there was no flavor in the broth, it tasted basically tomato and dried basel in hot water...borscht was not good either, we were disappointed.

crepe was ok, mine was stuffed with egg, tomato, cheese. it's savory crepe but not buckwheat crepe, it is wheat crepe. texture was soft and sticky like the ones you see in asia(i think french crepe is more light and crispy). the potion of prosciutto was a little too small compare to other brunch places i go, but it was ok.

waffle was crispy, but nothing special. my partner did not like how bland the egg was. all the food we tasted in this store was pretty bland.

i did not try dessert crepes, i believe their dessert menu would be better than savory food menu. the crepe i had would go nice with banana and chocolate, i think. i just did not enjoy how they season the food.

however, i thought their menu selection was quite attractive. they have sweet and savory crepes, waffles, wraps, paninis, smoothies, coffee, etc...

overall, we waited 30 min but we didn't like the food very much. maybe give another try for dessert but not for lunch menu.

sweet life crepes and waffles is simple and comfortable, especially on nippy and rainy days. it's a perfect cafe to warm up with some coffee, have brunch and just catch up with friends! we had excellent service, and our food was delicious! i had the vegetarian greece lightning crepe, and my friends had the lox and the italian crepes. to wash it down, we ordered lattes and hot chocolates, which were surprisingly tasty as well! sweet life serves excellent crepes, and a perfect spot for weekend/weekday brunch!

coffee, crepes and waffles absolutely delicious! real whipped cream which is a must for me. /cant stand when restaurants cant make a super simple real whipped cream- that puts in question their ability to cook and to recognize food from food-alike product:)/ great friendly service. highly recommended.

this place is great! i often come in on the weekends and the food is always great and the staff and owner are professional and friendly. a must try location, hidden in the corner of lakeview plaza, beside shoppers drugmart.

love this place. great crepes that you can get with just the delicious filling and a salad if you are gluten sensitive. my favorite place to go for an almond chai latte. very friendly and welcoming.

bacon!!! i had their savoury waffle today and it was delicious.
it's a belgium waffle with scrambled eggs and maple smoked bacon on the side. yummy!!!!!  they even have real maple syrup! 
i was going to try a coffee, and the waitress suggested a mocha. this is one of the best coffees i've ever had!

i have always found it truly tough in calgary to find a place that has both good breakfast food *and* good coffee. there is usually always a sacrifice, but somehow sweet life have beaten the odds and given us both.  i highly recommend this place.

also to note, the wait times are very small and the service is very fast.

i have visited this coffee house for several years and it is a hidden gem!  crepes are delicious with lots of variety to choose from.  i keep returning for the lattes though. they are a bit on the pricey side but are the best lattes i have had.  breakfast sandwiches are made fresh and are delicious for a quick breakfast on the go.  never any line ups and is a great place for breakfast on the weekends.  very family-friendly.  support a local business and check it out!

love this place! best lattes in calgary. i like the grab-a-lox crêpe the best for brunch and during the week i run in for a breakfast sandwich or a turkey panini. the service is super fast and friendly.

i have been coming here for breakfast almost every weekend since i moved into lakeview 7 months ago. i'm partial to the waffles and the coffee is also excellent. they have regular brewed coffee as well as a variety of specialty coffees.

there are sweet and savoury crêpes and waffles. all fresh ingredients and great service too.
