yesterday evening, i surprised a friend of mine on her birthday at this place.  it has previously been one of her favourite places to eat due to its convenience and access to parking.  on this occasion, however, we decided we would not be returning again.

i approached the 2 of them as they were sitting on the stools chatting, surprising the birthday girl and giving her a present.  i asked the lady who was working there if, once patrons had left, i could move one of the spare stools away from where they were placed and next to my friends as there wasn't one currently available.  the lady working agreed to this.

i waited patiently until i was front of the cue for one of the patrons to leave.  it was my turn and this had occurred.  the lady then chose the people waiting behind me to take their place.  when i spoke to her about it, she stated that she would not place me there after all.

a booth then opened up and my friends and i asked if we could move to there.  i was front of the cue and it freed up their spot for the couple next in line.  i checked with the patrons waiting - there were no groups more than two.  it would have made sense to move us there.  the lady declined and stated it was policy to seat the people waiting first and forget about the people sitting at the train.  i stated that i had been first in line waiting for a seat for at least 10 minutes longer than anyone else.  she essentially said that i was not a priority and would not be seated in quite a rude manner.  they gave the booth to a couple who had been waiting at most 5 minutes.

the couple sitting beside my friends then stood up and gave me one of their seats, which i gratefully thanked them for.  i was offered no service that night - no drinks, no ability to order anything other than from those making the sushi.  i gave them no reason for this hostility, i just merely asked for a seat.

my friends and probably the couple who sacrificed their seats last night have now found a new place to go.  i do not plan on returning to this establishment.

my girlfriend and i practically go to sushi train at least once a week. i think it's really convenient and not that expensive. the staffs are really friendly, chefs are fast at making sushi. however, i wouldn't really recommend the salmon sashimi, i don't think it's that fresh. i also wouldn't recommend going on a friday night, it's always packed with customers.

nice and fresh. some dishes are really small but it works out okay considering the prices. i often get takeaway because it’s busy at night. during the day is usually quiet.

this place is really great for sushi! everything is made fresh. udon noodles and agadashi tofu are yum also! it can get busy but staff are attentive and organised so waiting is ok. always try to stop in here when i'm in indooroopilly : )

great service, even with my naughty baby throwing her sushi on the ground 😣
the kids meal was excellent value and i really appreciate that they make the sushi and hot food fresh instead of using the stuff already going around on the train. it was super cute served in the toy train too. it’s a bit awkward with a baby in the high chair when seated at the booths because the seating is much higher, but not a biggie.
the adults also enjoyed their meal, the salmon sashimi is making me salivate at just recalling it. it was luscious and fresh. the rest of the plates were good, not amazing. this is a sound choice for a quick tasty meal at indooroopilly.

the sushi here is the best i've tasted so far. the aburi salmon just melts in your mouth and has a very pleasant taste. however, i would only eat here on tuesdays because they have specials that day because it is quite pricey on other days.

my first sushi train experience with my friend as i was visiting brisbane. really enjoyed it. loved the concept of see it go by and pick it up or if you don't see it, order and they make it for you in a flash. i enjoyed a few plates of the edamame beans which were nice, pork gyoza and also agedashi tofu which was tasty also. we stopped here just for a quick bite to eat and it was fast and tasty. all the food that came around on the train looked fresh and yum. grabbed a bag of the dark choc coated roasted edamame beans also on the way out, that is one tasty concoction. hope to return again when i'm next in qld.

i've been to quite a few sushi trains in the brisbane area, and this shop in indooroopilly is by far the best. an excellent variety of plates are available at a decent price. the freshness of the food here is obvious... i can never have enough of their salmon! often there are new experimental dishes by the chefs as well, and in turn a diner is encouraged to experiment in a place such as this. what is life without trying new delights!

be aware that this place does get quite busy during peak times around dinner, and a queue does form for patrons waiting to be seated. longest line i have counted there so far is 27, but we all wait, because we know full well that the wait is worth it :)

this is my favourite place to go for sushi! it is a little bit on the pricey side but i always have a good feed when i go here. the only down side is you can't make a booking so on a busy night you have to wait in line for about 5-10 minutes before they can seat you.
staff are very friendly and treat their customers with high respect.
i go here with friends on a fairly regular basis and have never been disappointed.

amazing sushi! always fresh. very popular so that's always a good sign. most staff are very friendly, except for the older man wearing glasses who usually charges you at the counter. he could smile once in a while!

easily one of the best sushi train restaurants in the area. fresh ingredients, lots of variety, and a constant turnover of customers are all good signs. i love all the special, additional dishes they offer, such as mini donbuki and edamame. ordered the tuna and squid nigiri fresh tonight and they were excellent. green tea is only $1 with free refills as well! if not anything else, this establishment is consistent in quality and service. as with all of the franchises, it was affordable as well.

this is by far one of my favourite sushi places to go within the "sushi train" franchise or any cheap sushi place. i know this may not be a high end sushi experience but every time i've been (over 20 visits) i've been greeted by friendly staff, eaten great tasting sushi, never waited an unreasonable amount of time, paid a balanced price and enjoyed my visit. what more can i ask for.
