mmmm! kim-chee fried rice or noodle with spam so good and the sashimi is good qualty too. afordable and open late.

great price, good sushi, a little inconsistent. this place has every kind of sushi roll you could possibly ask for, all for 50% off the menu price. we can order an appetizer, some sashimi, four rolls and some drinks for about $50.00. not too bad. the place isn't very consistent though on the taste. i guess it depends on who is working. sometimes the sushi will be perfect and other times, it will be lacking in taste or presentation, like someone just threw it together. we always get the smoked salmon sashimi and most of the time it is fantastic but there have been a couple times where it was dry and slightly discolored. the service is also pretty inconsistent. there are sometimes when our waitress goes missing and we're left with empty drinks. there are a couple of friendly ones but most are pretty standoffish. however, if vin is working, you won't have any problem getting what you need. he appears to be the busboy but is by far the most helpful and friendly person there. even with the inconsistencies we always go back to this restaurant. it is definitely more good than bad and the price just can't be beat.

sushi fusion! they got many kind of sushi and all of them are delicious. fair prices and great services. it's all worth the gas. i would like to come again someday :)

best sushi in sactown. easily the best sushi in sac. i love the anna roll and the crunch monkey.

too bad. just had moved into the neighborhood and was so excited about sushi hook, beings it was right across the street.... sat there over a dozen meals looking at that staff and was still served rotten uni. the sushi chef actually put it on his wrist, smelled it and had a conversation about it with the head sushi chef and still decided to put it out there to the fat, single girl... they did take it off my tab but you know what... tokyo fro would never do anything like that. so all i'm saying is... don't judge a book by the fat cover. some of us out here are really nice to know and have money to spend on good food! idiots!

if you want a wide variety of sushi and other japanese associated items this is the place to come. the johnny roll and pepperfin were two of the highlights. there is some very americanized versions on the menu, so if you are after tradition al japanese this probably isn't your first sushi bar on the hit list. overall great and attentive service backed up by some cracking dishes.

great and pretty cheap, i will go here as long as i can keep getting a great sushi roll for 5 bucks or less, like the spicy crunch cali or the dynamite, mmm.

roll tide roll!. great sushi! the rolls are huge and well made. i like how everything is half off all the time. it isn't like the tokyo fro's which are over priced and only half off for certain hours!

there's good reason why this restaurant has a 90% approval rating at the time i write this. very attentive staff, fresh fish, original rolls, and lots of other traditional japanese fare. ordered the veg udon for my daughter and it turned out to be the highlight of the evening! imagine thick noodles and ample portions of fresh vegetables swimming in a steaming hot bath of salty, smoky broth. i'm getting my own bowl next time.

hooked on sushi. sushi was very good. excellent taste. the person who made it has a great sense of humor too. especially like it when they have 1/2 off rolls.
