easily the best sandwich i ever had! maybe the best thing i have eaten in a few years. moved from memphis five years ago and haven't had a sub that can compare! my wife and i were in town and we had to stop by before we left. and yet again another great turkey sub!!!

cash only but don’t let that stop you. swing by an atm and check out the super sub. who knows what “lunchmeat” is, but it’s delicious. the sub of the day is always a good deal, so whatever day it is, get that sandwich. the owners and the sandwich artist have been there for years and they know what’s up.

i have been a customer since they opened.     i  absolutely  love the sandwiches and the sweet lady that makes mine extra special with her magic touch!  she has been my favorite since the beginning.  now all my family loves this place as well!!!  what a delicious legacy to leave! thanks to "the submarine shop".

this is the only place i'll ever eat a sub sandwich at! as a university of memphis student, it is just a few minutes away from campus and is extremely convenient. if you go in enough (like me) they will start to remember you and show a little more emotion when taking your order. there's a lady that has worked so long that she used to be the one making my parent's subs when they went to u of m in the 80's!!! definitely the best sandwich ever, i don't even mind it be cash only! it's worth every penny!!

i was very disappointed in the sandwich. i had the super sub. the service was prompt and friendly and the place was clean. the bread was very, very sweet. the meats were pre-sliced and wafer thin -- almost like a loaf. in fact, that's exactly what it was. i left most of it on the table.

the best sandwich ever. i'm not sure how they do it, but their sub sandwiches are outer-worldly. it's sad when i sit and salivate at work wondering when i can get back to this place! the cravings are real. wow. so good.

i had the chicken breast sandwich without itialian dressing it was good, fries good, make sure you bring cash they do not take credit cards!

great sandwiches. don't think i can change my food choices here. i love the turkey breast and i believe it's the chicken breast as well! better have cash on you as they only take cash

the chinese sub shop or super submarine sandwich shop, whatever you want to call it, gets two thumbs up from both christopher and i! we certainly plan to return! :)

the tuna sub was the item on the 100 things to eat in memphis list, so of course, this is what i ordered. i miiiiight have been a little hesitant to order tuna in this place (when i say hole in the wall... i mean hole in the wall) but it was surprisingly delicious!

the best. i seriously don't know what else to say. this is hands down, one of my top 5 favorite places to eat in memphis and definitely the very best sandwich in the entire world. i get the turkey on soft bread. with everything on it. why mess with perfection?

when you walk in you might be put off by the place. don't be. do you like tuna fish? well order an 8" tuna on a soft bun and thank me later. if you're hungry, get a 12" original. it's one of my favorite sandwich shops in memphis.

wow! had the friday special - a turkey sandwich, chips and a drink. you can't beat the price and the taste is great. going back soon to try the hard bread.

known locally as the "chinese sub shop," i can't imagine why anyone else goes to the myriad other sandwich shops nearby. what the heck is soft bread and hard bread? i don't know but your sandwich comes with chips and a drink.
